It does all count. The only caveat being that caffeine is a diuretic. It is a topic of debate whether or not it dehydrates the body or if it helps. I am of the opinion that highly caffienated drinks like coffee do dehydrate the body. Therefore I wouldn't count them. I consider the liquid in them to be a wash at best.

Baby carrots dipped in PB is pretty good.

Isn't green tea caffeine free? If it is then yes, it counts. If its not then I'd still count most of it. Edit: green tea is very low in caffeine. I just checked. So yes I would count it.

Well, yes I do have a bit of advice. Starting with get on your knees and thank God that your lapband surgery never happened. There are an unbelievable number of people on this forum that have had miserable experiences with what we refer to here as the "crapband". Did you know that over half of the lapbands out there fail within 5years? Not to mention that they have been known to erode into the stomach, some badly enough to cause leaks. We have a whole section dedicated to Band to Sleeve revisions. Id recommend you spend a little time in there, I believe it will change how you feel about your surgery falling through. Also, you'll find that though the sleeve does hahe a higher level of short term risk, it is a much safer procedure long term. Did you have any specific questions?

I do believe the elimination/reduction of ghrelin, the hormone that triggers the hunger sensation qualifies as a connection to our thought/brains. -
They are fine occasionally or in a pinch, but they do tend to be high calorie for the amount of protein they deliver.

What Percentage Of Your Excess Weight Did You Lose?
O.T.R. sleever replied to READY TO LOSE IT's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I must be doing something wrong. Using the formula on that site I show losing only 29.7% of my "excess" body weight. With these calculations a 65% loss will have me at 101lbs (16.3BMI). I've actually lost 29.7% of my total body weight. -

What Percentage Of Your Excess Weight Did You Lose?
O.T.R. sleever replied to READY TO LOSE IT's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
The way I am doing it is based on the highest "normal" BMI. For me normal starts at 155# (25BMI). I figure everything over that "excess". My start weight was 289, now it's 203. 86lbs down 48 to go. Maybe a little more. -

Yup, is it a thick saliva? It happens to me when I don't chew enough or I eat too fast. -

Are There Any Picky Eaters That Have Had This Surgery?
O.T.R. sleever replied to Kentucky Girl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Picky would be an understatement for me. Let's see, ice cream, I would only eat Hagen Daas, Ben & Jerry's, Coldstone, ot Andy's --- cheesecake, my wife makes the Best, cheesecake factory was a sacrifice for me--- pies, well I really didn't do any fruit pies but a good peach cobbler never survived long around me--- this only lists a few of the "treats" I'd eat. Let's keep it real though. You need to be ready for a lifestyle change. Yes, as time progresses you'll be able to eat small portions of anything. But to start you will be very limited and will need to Mae some sacrifices to get the best results. -
22 Pounds Lost In First 4 Weeks...but...
O.T.R. sleever replied to Sunshine30's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Tell your doc to stay out of the pharmacy. You are doing great. To lose 1.5lb/day you would have to run a 5250calorie deficit. I just don't see that happening especially at your start weight. -
I Had Surgery On Sept 13
O.T.R. sleever replied to Peggylou's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You've lost almost a pound a day. That's nothing to sneeze at. Also consider the fact that your start weight was 202, your BMI couldn't have been too high. So I would say you are losing at a better than average rate all things considered. -
