Not exactly. whey Protein isolate the easiest protein for the body to digest. In fact the process of micro filtering whey assures that only highly bioavailable Proteins are left. Dense meats on the other hand take much longer to digest. Red meats in particular are very hard on the digestive system. Granted they are both great quality proteins. But the whey is more quickly absorbed , whereas meats will keep you satiated linger.

Which protein is best for "our" needs?
O.T.R. sleever replied to Renagade's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Renegade, do you have a budget? There are many good options, however high quality Proteins aren't cheap. The best are whey proteine isolate. Micro filtered is preferable. Both unjury & nectar are top quality powders. But they are somewhat expensive. Six Star is a good option on a budget, but really is barely palatable in my opinion. And you are right. High quality RTDs are quite pricy. Typically around $4 for 30g or $5 for 40g, whereas even the best powders are about 1/2 that cost per gram of Protein. Btw both Unjury & Nectar offer sample packs. I highly recommend getting one from each so you can finds what you like. Another thing, when you try Unjury chicken soup flavor, don't overheat it. -

I'm 7 months out and have lost 74.4% of my excess body fat. But I've only lost about 70% of what I want to lose. -

Welcome, You have some pretty lofty goals, losing 100% in 1 year is gonna be hard, but it can be done. Good luck, and BTW, don't let the skin thing discourage you, it will continue to shrink for 2 years. So a lot of it will disappear. -
IS IT TRUE AFTER 6 MONTHS
O.T.R. sleever replied to stellabug321's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My experience is, ABSOLUTLY. Most people lose 1/2 of what they are going to in the first 6 months then 1/4 over the 2nd 6 months then 1/4 over the 2nd year. Keep in mind that is just a rule of thumb. Your personal choices & habits will have a bigger effect on your journey than anything else. -
Looking at the make up oh this, it is mostly grasses. Not much in the way of veggies or other ingredients. It doesn't look like a bad product, but you could get the same benifits from KyoGreen and take less of it. Warning: KyoGreen tastes like eating freshly mowed grass

No bowel since surgery.. what should i do?
O.T.R. sleever replied to princesstia's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok, drop the protein completely. You need Water. Focus only on hydration till you can get 60oz in a day. Then add protein as you can fit it in. And honestly, you've only had 100g of protein in 10 days. I wouldn't expect a BM. -
I think I'd sell a car & go to Mexico. But then again I don't do the debt thing.

O.T.R. sleever replied to princesstia's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wait, have you eaten anything since surgery? If not & you are still on liquids, this is fairly normal. I know this is gonna sound bad, but, has anything been happening back there? Any flatulence? If yes then you're fine. liquid in = liquid out. -
Thai food varies greatly. From noodle heavy dishes that are covered with sweet sauces like Pad Thai. To spicy very healthy dishes like Thai Curries. If you are looking for a suggestion I love green curry with chicken. Different resturaunts make it in different consistencies, some he curry is like a thick sauce, others it's more of a Soup. But it is very good. One word of caution, it is a bit spicy. If you can handle moderately spicy Mexican you'll be fine, if not, you can have them tone it down a bit, or even try a red curry or mango curry.

I think they are great. Since they are sweet, you'll not want to over do it, but, if you have a sweet tooth I really can't think of a better way to satisfy those cravings. Don't let them get in the way of your Protein, but enjoy. They're also great with a bit of spinach artichoke hummus

Juny, I know it's hard, but don't worry about what mommy says this time. My dad wasn't exactly sold on the idea of WLS when he mysteriously found out I was planning mine. But since then he has heard of my success, and not only approves of it, he is in process of getting sleeved himself.

If your surgery was in march, your stomach is pretty much as big as its gonna get. And yes, popcorn is a slider. I recomend buying it in the 100calorie bags.
