    Foamy mouth

I experienced the same thing and was given a prescription for an anti gas medicine. This also happens when food is not chewed enough and gets stuck and does not go down properly. It can also happen when you drink to soon after eating. Try this and also speak to your nut and/or surgeon. Good luck to you. Sent from my iPad using VST

  6. My wife is looking for me to change. She wants me to be healthier, more confident about my appearance, and to be one of the hottest husbands in the neighborhood. So, yes she has been very supportive for almost 30 years and is looking for the new me to emerge. We have traveled extensively since we are now empty nesters and were foodies. We still dine at fine restaurants from time to time but make healthier choices. Btw- my wife and kids are thin and can or could eat anything they want. My wife's family always used to say she was too hot for me (well they were right, she was out of my league), but she dated, fell in love, married and raised a family with me. We Celebrate 25th anniversary is next month. So, this is to say that you will change and if he really loves you so will he and should embrace the new you. Some spouses are insecure and like us heavy so we won't leave and feel we can't do better than them. Good luck to you and your relationship. Sent from my iPad using VST
  7. I was sleeved on 2/19 and also can't exercise like I wanted but due extensive neurosurgery. I also have lost 60lbs. However, my nut told to get a lifecycle which can be used for the arms and legs and is a real workout. She explained that while most people will slow down after 3 months, I will start and consistently lose more weight in month 4-6. My wife bought a recumbent bike and a Pilates machine for me with the approval of my neurosurgeon and as an early 25th anniversary present. Good luck to you. Sent from my iPad using VST

    should i get a scale

I bought a scale which measures weight, hydration, muscle mass, and three other measures. It was not very expensive to buy. You can get one cheap from amazon or 1saleaday.com. However, I broke my obsession to constantly weigh myself. It serves no purpose other to make yourself crazy, but it works for some to weigh daily. Remember, at a few days or weeks post-op there is still a certain amount of swelling and Water retention you will have. Good luck to you. Sent from my iPad using VST
  9. I forgot to say you have to chew, chew, chew, chew until things are mushy. That also helps me with my eating issue. FYI- make sure the hunger you are feeling is true hunger and not head hunger. I am at 12 weeks and have to miss meals before I realize I need to eat something. Sent from my iPad using VST
  10. I have experienced the same issue. I had to eat more slowly and at times wait a few minutes before eating again. I was mistaking the gas I felt for fullness. For me it was a matter of the food not going down completely into the sleeve to resolve it. It does require me to nuke my food a few times until I finish my required amount of a meal. Watermelon?

It depends on your doctor. I was not allowed to eat fruit of any kind until I was 8 weeks out. That was also the same for vegetables. If it is not approved by your surgeon, then the answer is no. Sent from my iPad using VST
  12. I had Aetna and had to fight with for 18 months, and being declined twice. I had to hire a healthcare advocate who wrote a letter to the Executive Vice President to get the denial overturned. I was denied because I had no comorbities but had a bmi of 49, which was against policy. I was finally approved and had my surgery on 2/19. Good luck and I hope your experience is better than mine. 17. I was obsessed until I was sleeved in February. I researched everything about the sleeve. I scoured the web looking at the various ways different surgeons performed the surgery, and watched videos of the procedure. My wife was just as obsessed and would stay up late looking at recipes, protein products, vitamins etc.it all worked because I am now 60lbs lighter and shrinking. Good luck to you. Husband rant -- am I asking too much?

I saw in your earlier post that he grew out without a father but so did a lot of guys. There is no excuse for any man to speak to any women like he does. There are places I don't always want to go with my wife at times. However, I suck it up because she wants to and I am sure there are things she doesn't like as well. Marriage isn't about bemoaning everything he doesn't like, there is a certain amount of compromising in any relationship for the sake of the other. . Sound like he has a lot of growing up to do. The next time tell he needs some quiet and will have to go to bed without dessert Sent from my iPad using VST

  20. Maybe he will come around and embrace the healthy choices that come with your surgery and the new you. I have been very overweight for most of my life with the exception of my multiple huge weight losses followed by huge weight gain. My wife is thin and could have dated and married anyone she wanted (as I had been told by her family and some of her former friends), but fell in love with me. She has been with me every step of the way through several serious and in one case life threatening illnesses and surgeries. When I started this process it was her who went with me to seminars, doctor appts, post op support groups. She spends many nights up late researching recipes, foods and supplements. Our relationship has been further cemented by "our surgery and journey" ( her words). We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary next month, and I am looking forward to being a hot stud for her. She is also looking forward to me to turn a few heads as well. This is just to say if you have a great relationship, things can only get better and nothing has to change for the worse.
