  1. A roommate moved in around 10 pm.
  2. My wife stays at the hospital until she finally had to leave around 10:30 pm that night. She would have stays all night had I not had
  3. I eat out of a saucer and try to eat very slowly. However, eating has been a chore since my surgery months ago. Some foods are difficult to eat like baked chicken and some vegetables. All of the chewing makes me tired but I deal with it anyway since this is going to be my way life for awhile.
  4. I allowed to take naproxen regularly and ibuprofen sparingly.
  5. I had a glass of champagne with my wife during our 25th anniversary celebration dinner while we were away but nothing before or afterwards. That marked the first time I've had a glass of anything which wasn't water or more than a sip of my wife's cocktail.
  6. I had to create a new username because I have been getting a username or password error message. This is the second time this has happened to me but this time I have been locked out for three weeks. Old username was buplee, and I had almost 400 post which I can no longer access. Can you ask a tech support person to help? Someone can contact me at my new profile of buplee2, should my password be needed.

    weight gained back

I have three neighbors with LapBands and two have had complications and have gained back most if not all plus more of their weight loss. One took the fluid out to get married and did not go back for a year. He had now gained back 95 of his 110lbs lost. Both are looking for approval for the sleeve after gaining back a significant amount of weight back. My surgeon tries to discourage anyone from getting the sleeve. He is taking out more than he puts in. He puts In 8 sleeves for every 1 LapBand.

  11. How did you reset your password? I didn't see that as an option anywhere.
  12. Thank you. I haven't seen Alex online in a few days but will keep checking.
  13. I don't see him listed as being online but will check again. Thank you

    FOOD!

Trust me it gets better. You're very new and the post- op diet is not easy, but please stick to the program and you'll be happy with the results. One you get to the soft phase this will be a distant memory. When I was in that phase, my wife got some great soup puréed and strained and that made a big difference in helping me get through it easily. Sent from my iPad using VST

    FOOD!

How far out are you? You'll be able to eat most things but in smaller quantities. Hang in there it gets better. Good luck to you. Sent from my iPad using VST
  17. food can also get stuck and the you get the foamies. I could not talk, burp or anything. That was not pleasant at all. When I experienced this it was because I had chicken for the first time did not cut it up enough and ate it too quickly. Sent from my iPad using VST

    Coconut water?

My surgeon and nut was ok with it as long as the coconut chunks were strained out. I would suggest you call your surgeon's office for advice. Sent from my iPad using VST
  19. I met two people in my support group who have regained their respective weigh losses. One lost 110lbs and has regained it back via her swapping addictions. She has developed a drinking problem, and can finish off 1-2 bottles of wine and a few cocktails nightly. She initially drop out of contact for a year out of shame but took the steps to come back and get help for her drinking. The other started hanging around her old food buddies and family members who told her that she was too skinny and did not look healthy. She started going out and eating fried foods, ice cream, cake, milkshakes and other slider foods. She is diabetic and initially got off of insulin and lost 160lbs. Due to falling into her old habits she regained 130lbs and is back on insulin and her cpap. Like the other person, she too was afraid to show up at support group meetings, and her nutritionist appts and stopped for 18 months. Both are getting back on track and losing some weight. Although one is considering a revision to a bypass. Good luck to you and I hope this answers your question. Sent from my iPad using VST
  20. We have always had a great marriage but this helps with the passionate side. She is always checking me out and can't keep her hands off of me. Which is more than fine with me. She has been ordering clothes catalogs and is looking forward to dressing me in the latest fashions now that I am starting to fit into "normal" sizes. She calls me her personal supermodel. Coconut water?

I drink it all of the time. I drink the original flavor and then others like peach mango or fruit punch. It is actually more hydrating than Water. However for some it is an acquired taste. Sent from my iPad using VST
  22. I was initially afraid to move to the soft food stage but eased myself into. I went from 3 Protein shakes to 2 Protein Shakes with 1 soft meal to 2 soft meals with 1 shake or yogurt. I still struggle with eating 3 meals but won't snack because I am afraid it will hamper my weight loss. I did slip a couple times when I hit a stall or wasn't losing as fast as I wanted. When that happened, I went back to 3 shakes or yogurts only again and then had to wean myself off to eat again. This is something I think I may struggle with for awhile. Sent from my iPad using VST
  23. I know the pre-op diet is tough and so is the 2 week all liquid post-op stage. I implore you all to stick to your respective surgeon's instruction to a tee. The all liquid phase is meant to give your surgically altered stomach time to heal. When I got tied of cream soup, my wife made puréed and strained other soups and foods so I had the taste I needed to make it through. However, this was done by approval from my surgeon. Good luck to all of you on your respective instructions. Sent from my iPad using VST
