    Work out attire

There is another site where I buy serious compression gear to hold me in. This site works for moobs and holds in your abs and other parts. That site is mensbreast.com. The garments are breathable and like nothing you can get from a sports store like sports authority. They deliver very quickly as well.

    Work out attire

I wear boxer briefs under them. However, I do have a couple pairs of shorts by Nike in the dry fit line that have built in briefs

They garments should fit snugly to keep you in place. The other purpose it to wick away moisture during an intense workout and to keep you cool.

    Mood swings

I think most of us went through mood swings early on. There are a lot of changes in your body which destabilizes some of our hormones. Remember you're going to be losing a lot of weight in a short period of time. Hang in there it gets better. Good luck to you.

    Work out attire

Hey Fiddleman, I am glad you tried them and they seem to be working so far. I bought two more myself but in a smaller size. I'm not used to wearing a size without multiple Xs on the label. Keep me informed on how your workout goes. You're welcome and I'll post about any other new tools I find might be helpful to us.

    Work out attire

I can tell you. I feel more confident wearing them. I have always worn jackets or a vest to hid my moobs and belly, but with exercise and the garments I am noticing a difference. The garments are breathable and made I'd cotton and Lycra, so I was able to go our without a vest or jacket. As you said only my wife sees the areas that I am still working on improving.
  11. Great post Paul. I so agree with the points you've made. I made the mistake of coming down on people for cheating in the past and changed the way I feel. I have read some very disturbing posts on various threads recently, or as you said people looking for validation for bad behavior. I can and will only give advice that is helpful. I can only speak of my journey which may be on a different path than that of someone else. I have been slammed a few times for advice I thought was helpful but apparently was not what someone we wanted to hear. However, that is the role of this forum. We may not always want to hear what is said, but try to respect the rights of the person posting. However, there is no need for some of the nasty posts and online rights I have read. Especially those where the moderator closes the thread. I joined this forum for support and to help with my decision on the sleeve and have found it tremendously helpful. I contribute to different threads to hopefully offer advice and to help someone along the way with there path and hope to contribute for a long time. Laura, that means I may be trailing behind but I am aiming for your crown. Lol. Good luck to all of us on our respective journeys. I say our journeys because we are all in this together, or at least I would hope so.

There company also sells special gynecomastia shirts to hold down moobs so you will look flat or flatter in any shirt you wear. I don't know the company name but you can out in male compression garments as a search term and you'll find them. They're a little pricey but work wonders.

    Work out attire

It helps to train the skin and hold it in place as you lose more weight. The item I use is a male version of spanx which I wear most waking hours. It has helped a lot with my torso which is toning up nicely. I do admit it was a little strange at first when my wife ordered the top and bottom. The top comes in an athletic or T-shirt model, and the bottom is like a girdle. They hold the body in nicely as I tone. However, only my wife and I know about the garments. I didn't want any chiding from my friends and family.

Ugh! I cheated on pre op diet

I am not going to come down on anyone for cheating but the pre-op diet is to help you prepare for your new life. I am 5 months and 84lbs down and did not cheat on pre or post-op diet and to date I still haven't. I have lost and gained weight more times in my life than I care to mention. I am a proponent of pre-ops going to more than one required psych eval to work out your respective issues with food. Surgery was a last ditch effort for me to stay healthy and I WILL NOT fail? I have cheated my wife and family out of two many years by being overweight. Sure, you can recover from a slip, but why put yourself in that situation. Stay the course and follow the instructions of your nut and surgeon and you'll see results. Don't and you have no one to blame but yourself. Remember this is a permanent lifestyle change and not a temporary diet. You will need to get in 60-90gms of protein, take calcium and multivitamins, and not drink 30-40 mins prior and after eating for life. Not doing these things will have serious effects on your progress and health. So, think about that when you get that urge to cheat and you give in to temptation. To the person who made a shake with butter pecan extract and ice, I commend you. I wish you all well on your journey.

I wear a compression shirt and shorts while working out. I also wear compression garments under regular clothes to train my skin as I lose weight. I'm trying to reduce saggy skin.

    BIG FAT PEOPLE!

My parents were both overweight and from the south. My father died from pancreatic cancer when I was a teenager which could have been contributed to by the rich greasy foods. My mother now suffers from high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes which is directly related to her diet. she has lost some weight since my surgery, but how much can she do now at almost 81 years old. My wife is a professional baker and a great cook as well. However, it was me who ate the food and gained weight. I tried to workout and diet and lost weight many times but always gained it back. I am not struggling with food so far,my issue now is that I don't really care about food anymore. Eating for me now is more a matter of survival than enjoyment. That may change at some point but I am in no hurry for it to do so. My wife and I have been traveling a lot this summer and I have been very disciplined in terms of what I eat. Who knew it would take me so long to come to grip with my relationship with food?

    Naw'lins!

I went to Deanies and Drago and had BBQ shrimps and chargrilled oysters. They have tons of protein and are not deep fried like everything else down there. I also had crawfish and seafood omelets which a lot were great tasting with a lot of protein.

    BIG FAT PEOPLE!

It's amazing what our parents unknowingly did to us in the name getting us to finish our food. The left us with a lifelong struggle with food that we are just coming to terms with as adults.

    Slice of pizza

I couldn't even think of eating a slice of pizza at 7 weeks. That must have taken hours to finish.

    BIG FAT PEOPLE!

I was always told never to waste food and I had to clean my plate. The problem is I used to also eat what my family left on their plates as well. I no longer have that compulsion. Now, my thin family eats what is left on my plate. My how the tables have turned.
