  1. I agree. You have accomplished so much. Give yourself two pats on the back.

2 years out and still obese. :(

It's not too late to get started again. You lost 100lbs and have maintained a 92lb loss for 2 years. Give yourself a hand. Wake up tomorrow and throw out the carbs and start back on your exercise regiment. You did it once and can get where you want to be. Good luck to you.

    100 lbs.....GONE!

I'm reporting all of your naughty women posting in the man room. You know the rules state you'll be flogged lol. I'm happy for the perspective you bring to the thread. Just don't post when we talk about our man parts successes or problems, or else you may go deaf or blind or something like that. Lol.

    Best and worst "compliments"

Best- from someone I hadn't seen in a few months. " Wow you look great skinny man". Worst- you're losing too much weight- Are you sick or on one of your temporary fitness plans". Concerned compliment- You're losing so much weight, good for you". The relative then went to wife and asked- Was I sick and how sick was I"?
  7. Congrats to you on your loss. Great job.
  8. I feel good about the organizations and the good work they do. I think my issue was with the economics side of the donation. I was waving goodbye to thousands of dollars worth of clothes. However, I know someone else will benefit from the clothes I let go. My wife put them downstairs ready for pick up in the morning. She said by the time I get home tomorrow, the clothes will be prepared for their new owner. Being the cynical person I am, I said I hope you mean someone in need and not a worker at the organization. Maybe I'm not totally crazy but a little crazy for thinking that,

EPIC FAIL ON THE PRE-OP DIET!

    Welcome to the sleeved community.
  10. We have all been there when we are new. We read about people who lost 40lbs in 30 days and we feel like a failure because we only lost 10-20lbs. STOP THE MADNESS AND THINK. You're losing weight and will start to see the pounds melt away over the coming months. Stay encouraged and be happy that you are losing weight at a fast rate. Now, step away from the scale and put it a way for a week. Weighing yourself multiple times a day serves no purpose other than to make you crazy. Your weight will vary with food, Water, bm, time of the day or month for women, and our workout. Good luck on your respective journeys.

  12. Awesome job congrats to you.
  13. I am 6.5 months out and 90lbs down. I did not like the re-routing and malabsorption issues related to a bypass. My brother in law got a bypass 7 weeks ahead of me and lost 105lbs but had some issues. I have almost caught up with him 7 weeks ahead of schedule. I also know three people who initially went with the LapBand and two have had serious complications. Two are having the band removed and will get revisions to the sleeve in the next few weeks. Good luck on your journey no matter what you choose.

    Self Image

I have lost 90lbs since being sleeved on 2/19 and can only see the areas of my body that still need to improve or where I need to lose. I also know I am losing since I am wearing clothes a size I have not worn for 30 years. I can only see the 40-45lbs I still need to lose to reach goal.
  16. The choice is ultimately yours to make. I have a fairly bad case of gerd which is being managed with nexium. The bypass comes with some issues and challenges as well.
  17. All of you look great. Your respective hard work is paying off.
