It will get better. Just keep sticking with the plan.

That is awesome. Do you work out a lot?

Everyone is so different. A lot of people throw up because they eat to fast or to big of a bite. Or didnt chew good enough. I am almost 6 months out from gastric bypass and have done real well. You will be able to drink more eventually. Good luck to you all!!

I will promise you that it is the best life change. You feel in charge and gain self confidence as the scale goes down. I had GBP in Dec. And I have lost 80 pounds so far. I feel so much better. Go for it so you can enjoy life!

You are going to have stahls . IRS normal. Give your body time to adjust.

Oh wow. Tummy tuck to? That would be awesome. I wonder if my doctor can do that. We knew I had one before surgery, but now that the fat is gone, its huge.

I had bypass in December and now that I have lost 60 pounds I can see that I have a hernia. Has anyone had to have surgery for this and can tell me about your experience?

For pre-ops who have heard RNY horror stories...
Khuff replied to Debbiebydesign's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
There is going to be horror stories with any procedure. When I got my surgery I was so scared and thought I was going to die during it. It was not bad at all. I was up walking the next morning. I would have been the first night but had a catheter in. I barely used any meds. I have lost 65 pounds and am loving life. Push forward....good luck! -
You are going to be a new person and you will love it. It is a long road and not easy but so worth it. Good luck!!

Couple questions from the rny vets
Khuff replied to karlam29's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I agree, it is your decision. There are going to be people with complications. Its a big surgery. But the quality of life after wards is the best. I am very happy with mine. It isn't easy, you do have to work at it. Good luck! -
Penny, I was so scared I wanted to back out. But honestly, it really wasn't that bad. The worst part was the gas. And walking helped that. I really felt stupid after I freaked out so much. You will do fine.

Way to go losing 98 pounds!!! -
Geez. You don't weigh that much. But good luck with your surgery. It feels so final once you get that date.

Its a hard situation.....I would for sure tell them what you are feeling. When money is tight for me, I eat oatmeal with protein powder. Or the whole grain cream of wheat . We are the lucky ones to be able to have this tool. A lot of people can't afford it . My surgery was before Christmas so I found everyone was eating all this yummy food and I was on liquids. I was angry, but then decided that I can make this hard for me or not . It has gotten tons easier with time. And the pounds coming off feels great. Good luck!

I was doing awesome, never had any nausea. But when 5 weeks post op hit, I have been nauseated since. No rhyme or reason.

Question? After you eat does your stomach hurt?
Khuff posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am almost 6 weeks out from gastric bypass and things have been great. But lately every time I eat, I get naushiated. (Sp) so I am barely eating. Has anyone else had this problem? -

I do not regret the surgery 1 bit. I think I will feel better soon. -
I am six weeks out and haven't hit over 500 calories once. I am constantly nauseated and frustrated.
-
When did you start eating salad? I am 6 weeks out and would love to eat that.

I had my surgery Dec. 18th. Things were awesome until two weeks ago. I am constantly nauseated. I am barely eating. Even regular drinks make me that way. The zofran is not helping.
