Sannah posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Primary Care Dr. Supportive?
Sannah replied to Laceyloveland's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My PCP is very supportive!! She tells me how successful I will be with the sleeve. She helps my husband feel safe with the decision. She is our family doctor and is very supportive. She also helps find any resources I need and has talked a lot of stuff over with me as I go on with this process. L Everytime I see her she says DO NOT go to Mexico. My insurance covers wls so I won't being going to Mexico. -

What Are You Looking Forward To?
Sannah replied to note2bear's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Get up off the floor without using my hands for support. Squat to garden!!! To not worry about my back fat/ham hocks. For my wedding ring to fit. To feel ok eating around others. To feel secure grocery shopping. I sometimes feel Iike people note what is in my cart. If I get something that isn't super healthy I wonder If I am judged! To rock a pair of denim!!! Try new hair styles on a thinner face!! Sexy fun panty shopping!! To wear the colors I want, because they actually come in my size of clothes!! To sit with my legs crossed: like a lady does. To feel comfortable in an exercise class and not be "the fat one". To feel confident! To have my radiant facial skin back!! Thus list could go on and on!! Sent from my iPhone using VST -

No problem. If you want a partner I can text. No offensive if this isn't for you. Just want to do what I can to support others. Sent from my iPhone using VST

Hello!! Thank you or giving feed back. I do not want to push him. I feel if he wants to engage weight loss he will on his terms. But he seems to have a fear that my weight loss could negatively impact our marriage. Can you speak to this? I was asked if I would "get skinny" and leave. This is an odd thought to me. Our marriage is good and has been solid. So this idea is a bit out of sorts. I did some reading about wls surgery and marriage. It sounds like the biggest challenge is that the partner who had weight loss wants to go out more, and this causes friction in the marriage. Sent from my iPhone using VST

Conclusion!! I know that excess skin involves nature and nurture. Either way my Quest was to understand what external factors others employed. What it seems people are doing is Bio Oil, exfoliation, St. Ives- Cocoa Butter and of course exercise. Sent from my iPhone using VST

Hi!! Good afternoon!!! We have one baby (8months). I would like to have the sleeve and I have started the process. We aren't sure if we want another baby. What has being pregnant and labor been like with your sleeve? I would love to hear!!! I do not feel worried about fetility other than needing to be very cautious. We were naturally pregnant with triplets. I miscarried the set of twins at the very end of my first trimester. Have you had a baby pre and post sleeve? Notice any differences? How was loosing weight after baby? Thanks for sharing any information. Sannah

Hi!! Thank you kindly for talking this out with me. I will write this in my notes so I remember to talk to the nutritionist. I surely, prefer to make an educated decision. I am still at the beginning of this process. Sounds like I will learn a bit more as my appointments progress. I wish you success in your weight loss journey and baby/ies!! The road to and being a mother is truely great!! :-)

Hi!! Thanks for replying. I sure do not want a pregnancy now or within 18months after Vsg. It almost seems counter intuitive, loose weight and gain health, then have another. I would hate to struggle to loose baby weight after working so hard on my body and making changes. Maybe I need to do some soul searching. Wonder what others experience has been like with baby weight.

Well, I put body powder on. That seems to help me. Not sure about underwear or other items. I currently have the Gold Bond body powder because it has a nice smell-not a medicated stink. Wishing you wellness!! Sannah

Wow!!! So slim does happen. Sounds like eating slow is key. Is the slim like saliva? Stomach Fluid? Sounds very unpleasant.

Hey!! I read the thread and I appreciate that you asked this vagina question. I was also curious!!! Have you posted videos on YouTube? I am doing my 6 month medically supervised weigh in. If you do not mind I would love to view your videos to learn more about this process. Sannah
