I have a leak, not the flu!
Sannah replied to Sannah's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It was not that painful and I was surprised to be admitted. I took a nap yesterday woke up to upper legs aching severely. Then hot( bedding covered in sweat) or so old my jaw was chattering. Called the on call, went in for blood work and learned my white blood cells were at 24 and 10 is normal. I was admitted and was rushed into cat scan and then rushed into endoscope where the stint was put in place. So here I sit in the hospital on three antibiotics, fever is gone, white blood cell count is at 12. Getting much better. -
Thank you kindly everyone. I waiting for ct scan results. Thanks for the support. I feel scared

Sannah replied to blkdiamond377's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not really sure. I am 9 days post op and just weening off the advil. I can now get out of bed with ease, sleep on my side/stomach, get up off the couch and floor without much pain. I hope you find relief soon. The heating pack has been a great help for me. I put it any where that is hurting. Wishing You Wellness, Sannah -
not getting enough water
Sannah replied to ckatie0709's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So sorry to hear your uncomfortable. I hope this gets better. My surgeon told me to drink G2, in place of water (maybe you can try G2). You surely don't want to become dehydrated. I have to have room temp or warm (98-100 degrees). Wishing you the best! Sannah -
getting in your protein!
Sannah replied to HeadMistress's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 9 days post op. I am having two shakes a day at 35g of Protein each. I am consuming the Premiere Protein Shakes with two TBSP of PB2. I also have ISOPURE, but I have trouble with the flavor right now. Best, Sannah -

I wasn't very prepared as I had about 24 notice to get ready. I had g2, presciriptions, 1ounce cups, and heating back. Most stuff I already had on hand. I ended up needing a pill cutter. Things will work out smoothly if even your not super prepared. I like to be prepared and planned out, but didn't have much time and things went surprisingly smooth!!! Best of luck on preparation!! You'll so great !!

Just want some input please
Sannah replied to want2live's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello, I was sleeved on Dec 5th. Congrats on your sleeve!! I am not able to down as much protein as you. I can swallow just fine, but feel like I am spending all day drinking (. Normal I know). I can now drink 4oz of water/g2 in 15 minutes. 2pz of protein in 15 minutes. I am curious if you have any pointers for getting more protein down? I had a handy post op diet log, this is helping me see what I need to consume and how frequently. Best, Sannah -
Hello!! I was sleeved dec 5th. For me the pain wasn't that bad.y appendix and vaginal birth were much worse. I used narcotics in the hospital, but Advil and Tylenol at home and often I forgot to take it. Something no one told me pre op was that post op you have to use your upper body more to make up for the compromised abs. I have strained my back. So if you have time I would work on back muscles to prepare. The gas pain was also not so terrible. I thought it would be miserable, but it wasn't too bad. Wishing you the best!! Sannah

I can finally post in the Poster-Operations seciont. On December 5th I was sleeved! I was supposed to go in on December 26th, but my wish for an earlier date came true. Monday the 3rd I was notified that Wednesday the 5th was open!!! So, in I went with very little notice. I am doing well and surgery was very smooth!!! I am relying on Advil to get me through the pain, the narcotic wasnt working. The antinausea pill nearly took my vision away. After my afternoon nap I can see this computer screen. Needless to say I do not take the antinausea or narcotic anyhow. Advil works a heck of a lot better than either of the prescriptions did. I was hospitalized for one night and came home with a catheter, which I removed last night and have since been peeing on my own. Today I am 3 days post op, and I was able to sleep on my side last night, went for a walk outside and started to feel more human again. I had a sense of buyers remorse the last two days because I couldn't be around our two small dogs and one year old baby (she just wants to be in my arms and I cant do this right now). i am getting my liquid pretty good and working on Protein. The Protein shakes make my stomach sick. So I am using Milk and yogart. I am happy to say I am sleeved and join you guys! Best, Sannah

Prochlorperazine & Visual distriburance
Sannah posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Prochlorperazine is the antinausea that I was given to take after surgery. Oh my goodness! I will never take this medication again. My vision is starting to return to normal, but as I took it my vision was so off!! My glasses would not help me, I could not see my iphone to operate it or text, i wasnt able to watch the tv either. It was a bummer to feel crumby from surgery and then have to lose my vision. It was determined by the pharmcy that this is a possible side affect. blah!! beware.. Hopefully this wont happen to you! Best, Sannah -

Hello, Our dates are so close! I am not having this exact issue. When I eat something too fast I get painful burps, but this is about it. Protein shakes make me nauseas, so my surgeon said to stay away from them for now. I have not had a BM, but I have real bad farts!!! BLAH!!!! My poor family! THey are working so hard to care for me and I repay them with gas!!! Best, Sannah

Hello, I did a pre op diet for a month before hand and when I was finished I had to maintain my weightr loss. As for the liquid diet, I was only asked to do one day of luquids- this is standard for my surgeon. So Monday night around 5pm I got the call for a Wednesday Surgery, Tuesday all day was luquid and wednesday was surgery. It worked out smoothly. Except for Monday night I had a food funeral at my favorite coffee house.

Thank you kindly! I am off to a good start on my liquid diet!!! I am sure today will fly by!!!
