    When Did You Feel Restriction?

This is very interesting to me because I have been wondering if I have a hole in my band or something! I had my second fill, 6 cc in a 10 cc band, and I still don't feel any different. I have never had a stuck episode and never thrown up. I have lost 40 pounds since May 21st, but it's because I've changed my diet drastically (to low carb) and started exercising. I feel like I could eat anything and could definitely eat more than I am eating. I have people at work asking me if I couldn't have just done it on my own and I defend my band but I'm starting to wonder myself. Do you think I just need more in my band for it to start helping me?
  2. I would like to follow a low carb diet and I'm getting so much conflicting info I'm confused... If I'm eating 1000 - 1200 calories a day and around 80 - 90 grams Protein how many carbs should i be eating? I have been hearing 30 , 60, 100, and then on fitness pal it told me 165??? Also what is the limit for fat intake on a low carb diet? Help!
  3. Thanks for the replies everybody. 30 grams seems so low, mind if I ask for an idea of what you all eat?

    Extended Release Pain Meds

I also had to stop taking my extended release med. My doctor just prescribed the regular not extended release pill but I take it twice a day now.
  5. I hear you. I was banded 5/21 and I lost 16 lbs the first week but nothing the second. I'm still on the post op diet and it was so exciting to lose the 16 lbs, but NOTHING the second week??? I know not to expect that kind of weight loss again but I'm probably only having 800 calories a day so how can I have lost NOTHING???
  6. I take two chewable multivitamins per day as well as two chewable calcium supplements.
  7. I'm Robin and I was banded May 21st. I am so excited because as of today I have lost 16 lbs already! This sure helps to make me feel like this was all worthwhile. I was so worried that arriving at the hospital the day of surgery and walking in I actually said to my husband, "I think I changed my mind." And for a few minutes I wasn't kidding! So much anxiety, worry, and fear of not being able to handle not eating what I want when I want and how much I want! Pathetic right? Well, I feel fantastic. The first two days after surgery were a litle rough. Not incision pain but muscle pain - I think from anesthesia. I have really had no hunger yet, although I know it's from swelling and hungry days are ahead of me. But I feel empowered now and I am ready to DO THIS THING! I'm glad I found this site to share the journey with all of you!
