can we ever have popcorn again
kathyhalls replied to kathyhalls's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I haven't had popcorn in months and it will be months before I can again. the movies idea is actually a great one. I rarely go to the movies but I miss popcorn. I used to get those hundred calorie bags and add the white cheddar seasoning found on the same aisle. awwww miss it but one day there will be less of me so I can eat some then haha -

Thank you.. I just wanted to be able to eat it one day. It is a carb and I am carb restricted anyway but for a treat months from now would be nice. -
Just wondering how many follow up visits you all had after surgery

how much did you all lose on your pre op diet?

I am curious how much everyone lost on the two week pre op liquid diet I have already lost 18 in little over a week I know it is mostly water weight -
Chicken broth... warm tea trick your tummy into thinking you're eating after the broth I eat jello tends to feel the space when my tummy grumbles. The headaches do go away even. After the first few days you can do it. I cheated the first day had a piece of chicken for dinner but the next day I made it through. I was also an emotional wreck the first few days. I have two kids and two adults I have to cook for and food is present daily. It is hard but you can do it best of luck y'all

It does and has gotten better. I had original decided on the band but got a call from my docs office about offering the sleeve. I wanted the sleeve in the first place but chose band as first choice cause everyone said it was safer and my surgeon only did lapband. I am excited and scared. Trying to make home made broth which I am hoping tastes great. The first few days I slipped up but got myself into do it mode. So today is 6th day. I travel to the doc Friday so he can talk about the surgery he is newly offering the sleeve. Worries me I have two kids I don't want to die! That is my only concern. I hope to look back in six month and be happier about my size!

I have no energy. I am finding it hard to have the will not to cheat. Especially with two kids and two other adults where food is being brought in and out. I am usually great all day but once late afternoon and night falls I find it more difficult to not eat a piece of deli meat. Hasn't been an everyday thing but it is like I am dizzy and the shakes don't agree with my tummy. Plus the fact liquid in liquid out sucks. Need some encouraging advice and some coping skills. I can do this I know it just hate that the support in my home blows. My kids dad will bring fast food or chips and dip complete junk food in the house. I can do this!
