Finally got my surgery date whoop whoop October 17 the day I will never forget as the day that changed my life and put me on the road to health.

My date is scheduled for October 17th whoop whoop for the October sleevers. On my way to the loser/healthy bench.

Tiger belle I totally understand with you about the A1C that's why I started this thread b/c I was told by my surgeon he would not do my surgery of my number was above a 7 which it was his reason b/c he said it takes longer to heal. Well I worked out and had everything checked two months later it is at an 8 and he decided I can no undergo surgery. I have an appointment on Friday to get my surgery date I want to tell you that it took much prayer and determination and the support of this site that helped me. I will pray that everything works out for you just like it worked for me. Please keep us posted on your results

Great news just spoke with the nurse and the surgeon will see now and give me a surgery date. I am so happy I go in on Friday September 14 and then I will get my date I would like to thank everyone who prayed with me and for me I will be joining the loser bench soon and the healthy one as well no more meds soon.

I'm hoping for an October date as well I am actually finished everything I just waiting on a call from the nurse to see the surgeon and get my surgery date.

Thanks ready4success I am praying I also come off the meds after surgery and heal just fine and no complications take place.

Thanks Isabel for praying with me I love hearing stories like this it gives me hope that I will also be off those meds. I haven't talked to the surgeon I only talked to the nurse I had a real heart to heart conversation with her so hopefully she will display my concerns to my surgeon. Thanks again for your continued prayers.

I got A1C number today and its at an 8 the nurse said the guideline is below an 8 she is going to talk to the surgeon and find out if he will still to the surgery with it being an 8 I'm praying now that he decides to do it I explained to the nurse that the main reason to have the surgery is so my numbers can get lower and stay low. I really want to stop taking medicine and insulin please pray with me that everything works out and the surgeon decides to do my surgery.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement I'm praying that I can come off these meds and I have heard so many stories about how the sleeve can help. I will definitely post updates once I hear from the surgeon on next week the lab said my results should be in by Monday so I'm expecting a call by Tuesday th latest or I'm calling them and again ladies thanks for the encouragement and sharing you stories.

Finally went in today to get my A1C level checked again I will get my results next week hopefully my numbers are low enough so I can join the loser bench soon

Cassieh that is great you lost over 90lbs in 4 months. I haven't been sleeved yet bt I'm looking to be successful in my Weightloss. Can you tell me what you did in order to lose the weight like what type of exercise you do Nd how many calories you are eating a day and so forth....

Well I have to wait until September to check my A1C again so I'm guessing somewhere around late September or October I got everything done I started this journey in March it was supposed to be 6 months bu its turning into 8 months I'm just trying to keep my levels under contol

Praying now that everything works out for you keep me posted and I will do the same what is your surgery date again.

Kczar I finally got a callback just to tell me my A1C level was to high so I have to wait 2 months and get it checked again in September so it looks like I will be having surgery later this year.

Yes I got different meal ideas I just spoke to her and they are checking my levels again in September it was to high in July so they told me to wait 2 months and they will check again I'm going to need to do something these 6 months have not been easy I'm going to get the levels down.
