  1. I am sharing my story here in hopes that someone can share information that can help. Three years ago I had revision surgery and converted from a lapband to a sleeve after the band caused an ulcer. I lost 120 pounds with the band, but once it was removed - I regained 100 fairly quickly. After the sleeve, I lost 80 pounds and then got pregnant and plateaued. I ended up miscarrying with that pregnancy but my weightloss never restarted. A year later, I ended up getting pregnant again and gave birth to a sweet baby girl 2 months ago. I gained 40 pounds with my pregnancy and lost 20 within the first 2 weeks, but now I have plateaued again. I am 60 pounds from my goal weight and have never experienced the same success with the sleeve as I did with the band. I feel like the band ruined me. I'm a new mom and want to be the best I can be for my daughter and husband, but I don't look great or feel great and am very frustrated.
  2. Just want to know if anyone else is going through this pain? I am 2 month post-op. How do you prevent it? Will it ever go away?

    Very Low Energy & Weak

    Shortypants--hoping that you (we) find a solution before you drop someone! I scheduled an appointment with my doctor and NUT to see them 2 weeks from now. If I find a solution or come up with interesting info, I will share! Good luck.

    Why Am I Not Losing Weight?

    That's almost a pound lost each day. I think you are doing well! Reading these boards may not be the best thing at times...forget about others.

    Salads

    6 weeks out and eating salads

    Very Low Energy & Weak

    No post-op labs done yet, but I'm eating more than most on this Board at 6 weeks and take bariatric vitamins; I never even considered the notion of being Vitamin deficient

    Meds = vitamins
  8. I am 6 weeks post-op. I eat all my protein; take all my meds; consume 1000 calories a day; and drink my liquids...but I am always very tired. I feel very weak and don't even have energy to clean my house or workout. I have never left so weak and tired before. Has anyone else experienced this? How did you get over it??
  9. I am almost 6 weeks out and easily eating 1000 calories. Somedays I eat less (around 800-900) and other days more (1000-1200), but I feel fine and am just trying to listen to my body.

    Protein Bars

    Try The Simply Bar. It's the best thing I have found. http://www.thesimplybar.com/
  11. Weighed myself today--my one month sleeve anniversary. Here are the results: Pre-op diet weight: 272 Day of surgery: 263 One month post-op: 246 Total loss to date: 26 pounds (or 17 pounds post-op) I am happy with these numbers as its a step in the right direction, but I also feel like I need to step it up in order to see more dramatic results. I am promising myself, in public, that I'm going to start exercising this weekend and make an effort to like exercising as I try to incorporate it into my life (bc I really hate it now). I feel the weight is coming off at a slow pace, but I am committed to getting healthy and look damn good! Any other May 14 sleeve buddies want to share your results/thoughts/feelings?
  12. I put my fork down after every bit and chew before swallowing. Also, when I'm at work a d eating alone, I take my iPhone with me and play a game...so I take a bite, put fork down, pick up iPhone and play a minute or two of my game before taking another bite. Takes my mind off chewing per se and spaces out my bites perfectly. Good luck.
