  1. uggg. so i thought i had kidney stones. turns out i am just constipated and have a cyst on my left ovary. hmmmm. so now when people say i am full of crap, it's true!! lol

  2. so, i am on day 4 of couch to 5k. i have bested my time from day one by almost 3 minutes!! so stoked!!! :)

    thank you so much!! i did that and added zumba - exer son to the mfp. it is the name of the studio i go to so that i can find it easily!
  4. i am averaging about 1-1.5 pounds a week. i am currently doing the couch to 5k and also some other cardio. i wish the weight loss was faster, but i do notice a difference in my clothing.
  5. is feeling very blah. i have started back to work and although i do not think that i have eaten more than normal, i feel like i am eating like a pig. i am tracking everything on MFP and it says i am ok. i think it also may be the fact that it is soooo stinking hot and i can not get my walks in as much as i would like. that and i am ONCE AGAIN stuck on a plateau. i just don't feel like i am losing fast enough.

  6. today is my first day back to work post op. i am having a great day and feel kind of embarrassed but happy regarding all the compliments. i guess it will take a while to get used to them... i have already walked 1.5 miles today! .5 on my first break and 1 on my lunch. i will be doing another .5 on my next break too!! and i am planning on walking with some friends after work tonight as well!!!

    hello! i would like to have more "sleeve" friends on MFP! look me up! fanofdmb also, i just did a Zumba class and went to log it on the MFP and it doesn't come up! wierd!
  13. so i just did my first round of water aerobics. i wasn't really feeling a lot in the water, so i thought. right now i am feeling it in my arms, shoulders and legs!! what a great workout without the sweat!!! lol

    Finally!

    Hello Everyone! I am almost 7 weeks post op and have been on a plateau for over 3 weeks... stuck at only 26# loss since surgery. Today I weighed myself and i lost a pound!!! woot woot!! I will take that pound anyday!!!

    1St Blog, 5 1/2 Months Post Op

    i think that is true, what you say about it being a tool. it is so very hard, this journey. i mean, we have been eating and behaving this way for years and now our sleeves are making us accountable. i am 7 weeks post op and have been stuck at a 26# stall for almost 3 of those weeks. granted, my clothing is fitting differently, but the scale is JUST NOT MOVING! i think that this site is a great way to help yourself remain accountable. also, i just joined myfitnesspal so that i can log what i eat. i too am able to pretty much eat whatever i want as long as it is not too much. i wonder, what is wrong with me. why am i still eating this CRAP. then the guilt comes into play. i have realized just in the past two days that i need to really pay attention to what i am putting into my mouth, my activity level and what i am feeling throughout the day. otherwise, i just backslide! good luck to you!! and thanks for posting, it helps to know that others have the same struggles!

    I AGREE! that stuff for the contrast for the upper GI was the most disgusting thing i have ever had the displeasure to drink!!! when i took the pain meds, i usually washed it down with some diet snapple or crystal light! i too have over half of a bottle left. it is so nasty tasting i would rather deal with the pain than drink it!
  20. today we had a BBQ to celebrate my son's bday. we usually put on a big spread and this year was not exception. i ate little bit of this and that. my dad cooks a mean tri-tip, which has always been my favorite. i took a tiny bite and found that it was only ok, so i took another bite, chewed it up and had to spit it out. it made me fill sick!! i stayed away from the cake while we passed it out. when i cleaned the kitchen, i had a very small bite of the corner of the cake. now i am sick and can't get the sweet taste out of my mouth! it is such a change, my taste buds are not agreeing with the foods that i liked before. i know that i am not eating as much and that i am more than likely not eating enough calories, but i still have that mindset that if i eat more, i will not lose weight. since i have been on a plateau for just over two weeks (26# in just over 6 weeks), i guess that mindset is not correct. i have made the resolution in my mind to increase my caloric intake and to definately increase my protein. i also must continue with my exercise. this past week was rough and i didnt get in what i should have. anyway... now that i am done rambling i would like to wish everyone a happy memorial weekend! BE SAFE!!!

    it may sound gross to some, but i scramble my eggs and i throw in some tuna and mix it up. lots of protein there. i season it with a little mccormicks grill seasoning and about a teaspoon of light mayo. i have been trying to come up with different egg recipies.

    so, i got this dress last year to wear to my cousin's wedding in Hawaii. it was tight and uncomfortable. i had to really SUCK IT IN to get it zipped. I wore it today to my son's preschool graduation. i was able to slip it on OVER MY HEAD!!! can i get a WOOT WOOT! lol

    Two Months Postop (Week 8)

    it is so hard not to weigh everyday! i want to know, darnit!!! i am just over 6 weeks post op and have been stuck at a #26 loss. i am not sure what to do. I think maybe i am not getting enough calories in and i will start drinking more protein shakes. thank you for telling your story, it helps to know that others are feeling and going through the same things...
