  1. I am glad you are able to be more positive. I personally can't help being pissed off that I am consuming 600 calories a day, at the gym 2 hours on the bike or treadmill, choking down disgusting protein shakes and walking around feeling like someone just kicked my butt and I haven't slept in a week.
  2. I too have lost little. In fact, I lost much more in my self imposed 3 week pre-op diet than I did since surgery a little over 3 weeks ago. Of the 15 that I lost since surgery 13 were in the first week. How do I eat so little and lose 2lbs in 2 weeks? The honest truth is I really regret it now, but as you know, there is no turning back. I just have to trust everyone and have faith that it is worth it and one day I will be happy I did this and be able to say I am happy with this decision. That really is all we can do.
  3. I have this pain now, at 24 days post op. My doctor says it is normal. Mine is on the inside but occasionally it also hurts on the outside at my skin. There is no incision where it hurts either. It is below my belly button slightly to the left.

    Crazy Question Sex

3 weeks for me. That was Wed, and we were fine.
  5. Yum! It tastes fantastic! I have tried the raspberry, peach and strawberry banana so far. I can't stand any of the greek yogurts as they all taste too sour. This feels like a desert to me instead of yet another source of Protein. Thanks to whoever I saw mention it earlier in the week. _/\_ 6 ounces 60 calories 1.5g fat 3g sugar 8g protein
  6. If you are not putting anything in, there is nothing to come out. Once you have food with substance, you will go within a day or two.
  7. I am doing everything right.... 550-600 calories, meeting Protein, meeting Water, under allowable carbs and getting plenty of exercise.. I lost 14 lbs post-op (everything else pre) to date with NO movement at all in 14 days. Yeah, yeah, yeah stalls are to be expected yada yada...talk me off the ledge. lol
  8. I am so sorry you are having such a rough time. I was sleeved the day after you. I really hope that you start to feel better soon!

    How Much Protein?

It all depends on your weight. You should of course ask your doctor or nutritionist, but here is a general guide for 'normal' people based off of a USDA article. How to Calculate Your Protein Needs: 1. Weight in pounds divided by 2.2 = weight in kg 2. Weight in kg x 0.8-1.8 gm/kg = protein gm. Use a lower number if you are in good health and are sedentary (i.e., 0.8). Use a higher number (between 1 and 1.8) if you are under stress, are pregnant, are recovering from an illness, or if you are involved in consistent and intense weight or endurance training. I would think someone fresh out of WLS would use the recovering recommendation. Again, not an expert just trying to help. You should for sure check with your doctor or NUT.

    So Sick!

No, I did not have the spider. It wants to heal, but it can't!
  11. I have had a horrible cold for 4 days now. I can't breathe, and my sneezing and coughing is not helping my belly button heal (it is my only incision still sore @ 16 days post op)..anyway I went to the pharmacy and they told me to take sudifed after explaining that I just had my sleeve done. On a side note, I was both slightly angry and happy that while bent down looking at Calcium supplements they were talking about me being "too small for "gastric bypass" and how I am lucky a cold is all I have. I stood up and they both appologized, and I just walked away. Anyway, has anyone else dealt with a horrible head cold soon after surgery?
  12. Welcome home! Rest up, walk, walk, walk...sip, sip, sip...and remember you WILL feel better soon.

    Post Op Pain Killer

I did not take anything other than Tylenol when returning home. I am just over 2 weeks post and still take it occasionally. Most of my post op pain was actually gas. It was not until 8 days post op that I took it frequently due to incision pain and pulling.

    Early Soft Foods

It is REALLY getting frustrating how judgmental people have been on this forum lately. So much so that posts such as izuri's make me refrain from posting, our visiting nearly as often. A simple "you should be careful to follow your doctors recommended diet" with your recomemded tips would suffice. Seriously, get off your high horses people...

    July Sleevers

I always forget about the ticker. I lost 13lbs after the first 7 days and have been floating between 190 and 191 since. The other 14 was lost preop. I thought my stall was broken, but no such luck. It is nice to see my weight going down rather than up...now if I could just find ENERGY!
  16. I lost 13lbs in the first week, and none this entire week. Don't worry, it will come off!

    July Sleevers

July 18th here. I am doing better each day! I hit a stall (already) but it ended today! I also over did it yesterday walking and am pretty sore inside, at my main incision. One day at a time, but I am hanging in there.
  18. You did actually post in the wrong place..you posted in "success stories" but that is ok
  19. I did not have a problem. I live in a raised ranch, so when you walk in the door it is either up or down 7 steps. Just take it slow.
  20. My doctor requests daily weigh in, as soon as you awake after going to the restroom. At each post-op appointment he has the nurse review...Well here is the problem. Day 6 and day 7 I was 191.1.....Since then (the last 3 days) I have been 192.x...going UP. Can I really be stalling already in week ONE? Isn't this where my biggest weight loss should be? Getting Water, walks and Protein (protien by the skin of my teeth) Not my TOM. What gives?

    Need A New Forum

Or, people could stop being such jerks to one another and realize at one point we were ALL obese, all have/had an obvious food issue and all are HUMAN. Just sayin.
  22. the truth is that if you are in a "Right to work State" FMLA means nothing.
