Hi. I was sleeved on May 21st. I am unsure of my exact weight prior to surgery. I know it was probably around 264 lbs. I did do the last meal thing.....i hate to say it and i also do not encourage this. As others have stated, it may sabotage future efforts and the ones before the surgery. This is going to be a life long commitment for me, so i did do the last meal syndrome, but i did not get carried away. I had some last time meals that i knew i would probably never have again, so for me it was worth it. Just after surgery I was very out of it. I felt quite nauseated that day afterwaards, so i could not start my water trials to see if i could tolerate liquids til the next day. I was fine the next day as far as nausea. I had some pain in my right side and that was made me the most uncomfortable. It was tolerable with the meds and it became easier and easir to move around, which the hospital highly encourages. It was a two day hospital stay for myself.i got there on Monday and was discharged on Wednesday morning. When i got home i was able to be up and around pretty easily. I could go up stairs without any discomfort much to my surprise! Anyways, at this time i am 6 days post-op and today i started purreed consisitency. I seem to be doing quite well as far as i can see. I am down 19.6lbs!!! Yay!!! I also want to add i thank God for the wonderful surgeon Dr. Simon in Syracuse, NY and for such a speedy recvovery! Without God, none of this would have been possible! I am looking forward to all of my future successes and rewards!
