I am anxious, the last few days I've been getting my home in order doing laundry, cleaned my bed and bathroom. I finish up at work tomorrow and I will be off til 8/28, today I plan to do some shopping for some easy accessible foods. My doctor said I will come home straight to puree so I'm going to get some yogurts, cottage cheese, baby food, broths, and of course Protein drinks. I was told as long as it is <5 grams of sugar I will be ok. I am so ready. Although, I no any of you guys, please keep me in prayer. Sharon x

Thanks!!! -
Well this is my second time around, Back on May 25th I was scheduled even made it to the operating room. When I woke up I was so excited and thanking the Lord for bringing me through surgery successfully. Only to be told that I had a hiatal herneia that was so large my stomach was 1/2 way through it and in my chest cavitiy. It was detected during my pre op but we did not imagine it to be so large. So today, Im going for pre op testing again today, I have a new date for Aug 10th praying all goes well today!!!

Band Or Bypass? And The Winner Is...
swilkins replied to DLCoggin's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I choose the lap band and was scheduled for 5/25/12 I was actually on the operating table. My doctor noticed a large hiatial hernia so he repaired that instead. Now he will only give me RNY because lapband may cause future complications. I'm a little nervous but I want this. -
WTG!!!

Well wishes to you "charm".

Wow! I was scheduled for the lap band on 5/25 I was in the OR about to have the procedure and my doctor opt to repair a giant hiatal hernia instead. He is now recommending the sleeve he said I would do better with that. I now have to heal for about 2 months, but I'm excited. Good Luck to you also_!!
