Is everyone on liquids pre fill & for how long x

Do you feel a restriction? That's my biggest concern ... I have no restriction at the moment. I am going to my fill on my own as my husband can't get time off but im sure ill be ok! X

Lalaj I have my first fill on the 26th June & cannot wait! I have no restriction anymore as the swelling from surgery has gone down! Do you know how many mls are in your band just now? I have 1ml in a 10ml band! How is everyone else getting on? Let me know how your fill goes & I will keep you updated X

Hello, Firstly Good Luck for Monday! When did you have your band fitted? I had mine four weeks ago on Tuesday & I am booked for my first fill one week on Tuesday. I have no restriction at the moment, how are you feeling? Aimee x

How long did you wait for your first fill? By the time I get my first fill it will be 5weeks! I have no restriction with a 10ml band & 1ml currently in place! How much restriction should I expect & how many mls did you all get in first time? Thanks Everyone xx

Keep moving about, if you have someone who can take you a drive in the car that really helped me gently though as you will be sore! I'm 10 days post opp & still experience it at night & in the morning! Another thing I had was pepermint tea ... That was brilliant! Feel Better Soon :-) x

You will have plenty of time for a bath/shower. I arrived at 8 & was not taken until 1630, I had a lovely bubble bath before I went down to surgery! Im only 8days post opp & I've not weighed myself, im going to wait for my fill before weighing myself but for the first time ever im really not getting caught up in what the scales say as I know everything will change in time! You will be looked after well at Dolan Park they are lovely! I will be getting my fills in Glasgow as I live in Edinburgh. I do feel the gap between surgery & the fill is too long. At the moment I am having muller low fat yogurt for Breakfast, half tin of tomato Soup at lunch & the rest at dinner time! I am hungry though & I have been really emotional as I had not anticipated the hunger, once you eat your ok but not for long! Im sure that will change once I've had my fill! Hi Kate, I was banded on the 22nd at Dolan Park by Dr Super! I'm five days post opp & coping ok! Its a big change & I personally underestimated the commitment afterwards! You do still feel hungry & it doesn't stop you wanting bad food but you have so much more to work for now! When is your first fill? Best of Luck x

How is everyone getting on? I'm day five post band & getting on ok due my first fill on 26th June! I've had a couple of issues but seem to be dealing with them. My biggest one was hunger however today it seems to of passed at last! Has anyone else felt hungry?

Hey everyone, At what stage did you move onto mush such as mashed potato & eggs etc? And at this stage what foods do you eat? I am only five days post band & the more I read the more I realise everyone is told to follow different plans! Im on liquid at the moment ... anything that can go through a straw & will remain on these until two weeks post op. I have been feeling lots of tightening around my tummy when I eat & feel more of a restriction today than I have over the last five days! I just hope it stays like that as my fill is not until the 26th June! I am still very gassy & it hurts my stomach lots, looking forward to that passing xx

Waw I have been on yogurt since the hospital, I have a gastric band but I am sure they are the same thing. That sounds great you are full after a shake, I feel the same as I did before surgery however I have almost no liquid in my band. I get my fill on the 26th June and can't wait to feel the restriction! Good Luck :-)

That's good to know, my fluttering has started to pass today as well! What do you mean full liquid? I'm in UK & I was advised to have anything that can go through a straw & 2 to 3 litres of Water a day. When is your band fill? I can't wait to get my first fill :-)

Is it normal to feel hungry? I definitely feel full once I have eaten and I am sticking to liquids only! I have 1cc of Fluid in my band & due my fill on 26th June. One other thing I have been experiencing a fluttering sensation in my chest & tummy ... Has anyone else had this?
