Lovenox Injections After Surgery....?
MsDallasSleever replied to lmbordelon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had to give myself injections for 14 days as well. It want that bad, the poke it easy but the medicine hurts a little going in. Those 14 days go by quickly! -
I'm on my way to the hospital for surgery! Now that the day is here it seems that it came so fast. I have a million thoughts and emotions right now, which I'm sure is normal. Please say a prayer for me, good luck to all the others moving to the bench today

Surgery 8/1, Dreading Pre-Op Diet And New App
MsDallasSleever posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello everyone, I'm starting my pre-op diet tomorrow and I am dreading it to say the least . I feel like I breaking up with a boyfriend. I've had a food "bucket list" and even though I have had pretty much all of my favorites it still seems weird. How does everyone else feel who is about to or has started their pre-op diet, it makes it easier to think that I am doing this for surgery and THAT much closer to making it to the loser's bench! Anywho, I wanted to share an app (android) I came across that I LOVE, it counts down the days, it's called Days Left. I've attached a screen shot of my homescreen below, I set up one for my liquid diet and another for surgery. -

I'm so happy we all have somewhere to come and share whether it's ranting or sharing good news. There are so many times I felt like everyone else (fam or friends) just didn't understand but then I could come here and talk to others that understood. -
August Sleevers?! Where Ya's At?
MsDallasSleever replied to futureskinnypants's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Whew, I can't believe I will be sleeved within the next 24 hours. When I first started this journey it seemed like the day would never come soon enough. Up until I was not afraid of the surgery and only feared the mental changes that i would have to make afterwards in order to be successful. They way I see it that was always going to be the hardest part for me. Now as the time winds down I am beginning to have all of the “what if” scenarios. I know this is only normal but I can't wait for the surgery to be over. Instead of starting a new chapter I feel as if I am starting a new book. -

Hi LorenaVaca, Thank you! I've realized that the mixed emotions are normal. But after I started the liquid diet I realized that I was acting as if I would never be able to eat normally again. I ate as if someone told me that I would never be able to swallow again, lol! But anywho I look forward to the days that I am able to enjoy it in healthier portions. Three weeks seems like a long time but just keep busy and you day will be here before you know it! -

Not sure that I miss it more than food but I am not too far behind you. If I had to pick one thing that I could have FOREVER and it not blow me up it would be BREAD, I love it. I rather have bread than meat anyday! -

The list has grown sooo since the last time I checked it! There are several other 8/1s on the list now!!! It was soooo hard for me to concentrate at work today. Going to get my eyebrows waxed and a pedicure after work to prepare. I wish it was Weds already, it sucks that I won't know my surgery time until tmrw. I hope its early, I want to be on the loser's bench ASAP! -

MsDallasSleever replied to MsDallasSleever's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds like several of us are VERY close to surgery day and experiencing the many emotions that come with it. I'm a really emotional person anyway so I knew that I would be a basket case but I am doing really well and quite proud of myself. I'm pretty sure sometime in the next 24-48 hours I will get a good cry in. How did you guys do today? -

I have always been able to hear a soda can being opened from a mile away. It makes my mouth Water... I was on my way to my cafe at work and was telling a friend how I wanted to tackle this lady for her soda. I can't wait until I can see one and not be bothered or want a sip. -
Surgery 8/1, Dreading Pre-Op Diet And New App
MsDallasSleever replied to MsDallasSleever's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Happy Monday everyone! I'd lost almost five pounds within the first three days of my liquid diet but then the scale started to go up. I knew not to expect to see dramatic results from my preop diet bc TOM is in a couple of days and I gain like crazy before and duringl I was so proud of myself ad doing an awesome job sticking to my preop diet and then I got a call Saturday evening from my mom telling me my 27 year old cousin had layed down for a nap and didnt wake back up. Her and I were not really close however this has really shocked me! She is my second cousin and they just had another family member buried a couple of weeks ago. Anywho, I've always known I was an emotional eater and as much as I tried to talk myself out of it I had a meal from Whataburger on Saturday. I promised myself to get back on the wagon and not have anything else before surgery. I came to work today prepared to stick to my liquids! My surgery is WEDNESDAY!!!!! -
Dont Want To Lose My Curves So Now Im Worried
MsDallasSleever replied to Christina760's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
To be honest I am NOT looking forward to losing the "goods" but I have more bad to lose than good. My breast got really saggy when I lost weight before I wear a 44DDD and had gotten down to about a 36D. When I had on a bra all was well, oh but when I took it off I didn't like them. This was something major that I had to deal with and not everybody will understand your thoughts of it but as you start to consider all of your pros you will be ok losing the dunk! -
Dont Want To Lose My Curves So Now Im Worried
MsDallasSleever replied to Christina760's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm still preop but I lost 100lbs a few years back and I lost my boobs and my butt and yes both were big to begin with. Whether you lose weight by cutting calories and exercising or deciding to have surgery as an aid the weight loss will still affect you the same. I can tell you that everyone is different, I've read about a couple of people on here that didn't lose either. Worst case scenario I may have to have a boob lift and do a million crunches and get on the stair stepper to get my butt back but I rather do that then still be overweight. -
Sex After Weight Loss
MsDallasSleever replied to SophieJaneB's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Oh, have I experienced this. I'm still preop but I lost 100 a couple of years ago so I know where you are coming from. I don't think it is that you are more shallow it's just that you don't have all the extra thighs and etc in the way so you are getting more of it. This is one thing that I can't wait to experience again. -
