I've been worrying about how you know when you are over doing it?

Ok, so I was starting to feel like a bottomless pit with clear liquids. I felt like I could drink and drink and felt no restriction. I just moved to thick chocolate protein shakes and my oh my!!!!! There is that restriction! I think I'm wore out and need a nap from trying to get this shake down. Don't get me' wrong, it's so yummy but I get full so fast ! This is so different!

I had mine with Dr. Kelly. His resume is impressive and alot of his education was done in states. You can even call the places he claims he attended in the states and they confirmed. He speaks perfect English. Very compassionate , caring, man who I sensed cared more about the life of his patients then the dollars. His assistant Trish is wonderful too. Let me' know if you want her number. I was sleeved on the 20th.

Dr. Ramous Kelly! Wonderful, caring, compassionate man. Impressive Resume...much of his education was in the states. He speaks perfect English.

I just have arrived home on Jan. 24th after having being sleeved. I feel great, maybe a little bloated though. However, I haven't needed any pain meds they sent me home with. I woke up this morning and weighed. I know I shouldn't have but I did. I didn't expect to see anything with all the fluids etc. However, I was shocked when the scale told me I was down nearly 8 pounds in 5 days after surgery. Shocking!! This is so weird...its like I'm finally SAFE inside somebody else's wonderful body. Thank you God!!!

The intake is wonderful. I was on Clear liquids for 8 days. No problem there. I have moved to taking my shakes. No problem here either because I love Atkins shakes. I was taking them long before even thinking about surgery. Now, I just modify them by adding some extra Protein powder to the already made shake to make it 35 grams. I could also add hersheys sugar free syrup to it if I wanted. Havent tried that yet. Also, I love iced tea. I just had to buy decaf and make it at home with splenda. I sip on that all day and I'm a happy camper. From what I hear, liquids is the easy stage. It's when you moved to real food that it gets interesting. Anyways, I feel normal. Best thing I've ever done for myself.

Have you tried Atkins. I think those are yummy. They are only 15 grams but I mix one scoop of amp powder in it which is 20 grams. So that makes 35 for one shake. And if you need it a little tastier you can squeeze in some hersheys sugar free syrup. Yummy

Order French onion soup at Panera or Bread Company. Order it no croutons and no cheese. Just eat the broth out of it nit the sliced onions. It is so flavorful. It feels like such a treat!!!! I get all the time. If you feel the need to chew, I find sugar free gum keeps my mind of everything. Just don't swallow it!!!

I am 6 days post-op and I am wondering if I can eat just the broth out of French onion soup. If I order it no cheese and no croutons and don't eat the chopped up onions... Just drink the broth.

I'm 38. (I will be 39 on Feb.6, so yep, I too am still claiming to be 38). I was sleeved just 5 days ago.

Thank you so much for that story. I was just sleeved on the 20th. It has been wonderful but I'm strating to have this nightmare where I wake up and its all been a dream and my stomach is telling me to eat something again all freakin day long!!!

I just got home from having surgery with Dr. Kelly on the 20th! Whoo hooo! He is wonderful, compassionate man that I got the feeling cares more about the life of his patient then the dollar. I believe God led me to him. You will do great! Tell Trish and Dr. Kelly Sheila says HI!!!

I just missed you at the airport. I landed in San Diego on the 19th.

hmmm.....I'm wondering if this happens alot with the plication and Dr. Corovola. The reason I say this is I was just at Los Angles Hospital awaiting a bariaum swaller test with my surgeron Dr. Kelly (I was sleeved). As we were walking down the hall we ran into Dr. Corovola. He pulled my doctor aside and told him he just did a plictaion on a girl and there is a leak!! This was on Jan. 22nd ...so that is two I know of now.

By the way, does anybody know why my picture doesn't appear under my name on all my posts and why you actually have to click on my name to see me? Did I do something wrong when I uploaded it?

I just had surgery with him on the 20th. Very caring and compassionate man. Truly cares about his patient more than the dollars. I believe, out of all the doctors I could have chosen in Mexico, God lead me to this man and his assitant Trish. My experience was nothing but wonderful. I'm 5 days post op and have lost 8 pounds already. Best thing I've ever done.
