jazzyjay replied to cdunn's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Hello, I am 18 mths postop. I was 3 days late on my cycle and decided to take a test and it was positive. I am so excited and a little scared!!! -
Hello everyone, I am about 14 months post op and feeling hungry pretty much all the time. I've found myself grazing alot and I was wondering what is the maximum amount of food those atleast one year out are able eat at one time.

One year of progress, 83 lbs and counting. I am so glad that I chose to have the sleeve. I didnt always do exactly what i was supposed to, but I am very excited about my results so far. I look forward to loosing about 50 more lbs. I pray that more people are able to find out about this procedure and change their lives. I am off my cpap and off 3 of my 4 blood pressure meds. I can breathe better and enjoy life more. I love my sleeve!!!

Thanks cause i was getting a little worried. I actually gained back some weight, but i think its because now I'm back on my birth control pills.

I'm 2 months out and popcorn has not caused me any problems. I havent tried oatmeal. The only things that are causing me problems are thick breads and lettuce. I can literally feel the bread swelling. As for the lettuce, which I am really bummed about, it just fills my sleeve up with gas. It makes me feel like i need to burp really bad but I can't, and even if I do burp I still get no relief. So I keep Gas-x on hand now.

Will i still be hungery, as i am post op? Having surgery feb 18 th.
jazzyjay replied to FatMamaw's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am one of the people that does not feel hunger. I occasionally get a craving for certain types of food but most of the time I have to make myself eat. I can get up at 9 or 10 am and not think about eating til like 2 pm. I am 2 months post op and can only eat about 3-4 ounces of anything before being full. Best of luck with your surgery. -
Plastics on 1/8/13... Recovery is hard!
jazzyjay replied to sid_n_reagans_mommy's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Thanks for being brave enough to share the pics from your surgery and recovery. They have been a big help in knowing what to expect if i do have plastic surgery. I'm only 2 months out from my sleeve and no where near goal but i already feel that my arms will be a big problem area, so I will probably have to do the big incision. -

jazzyjay replied to ThurstT4life's topic in Food and Nutrition
for the first 2 weeks after surgery I had this cramping feeling that started at the bottom of my stomach and kind of rolled up to the top. But It has disappeared in the last few days. It was especially bad with cold items. -
Looking For Dec Sleevers Out There

I was sleeved on 12/12. Yesterday was my first day on the soft diet. Was only able to get down 1/2 an egg and 0.5 oz of cheese before being full. So i can only tolerate about a half cup of anything before getting too full. I'm down 30 lbs since starting my preop diet! Some days i hit my protein and liquid goal but i haven't since starting the soft stage. -
HELP ME! I'm three weeks out and ate a piece of toast!

congrats and best wishes on your journey!! -
Thanks everybody. I tried hot liquids once and it made me hot all over so i didn't try again until yesterday with some peppermint tea. I still had to wait until it was lukewarm, but i guess I'll have to try them again. Maybe some broth tonight.

I'm 3 days post op and when I drink cold liquids my stomach kinda cramps up for a few seconds. Does that happen to you?
-
I hope Im doing this right...
jazzyjay replied to tsmyle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds right to me based on what my nut told us to do. I'm post day 3 so I dont start back on protein until day 6. hope i'm able to do as good as you are doing. -
Am i on the right track? 3 days post op
jazzyjay replied to LadiWobs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow, i'm postop day 3 also and I am no where near your intake or activity level. I guess it just depends on what your surgeon recommends. I am on clear liquids only until day 5 then i go to full liquids. I was told just to try to do some walking around the house for exercise. I've only managed to get in about 30 ounces of fluids a day. -

Looking For Dec Sleevers Out There

Well surgery went off without a hitch. Woke up in alot of pain though. Wasn't able to drink much on the first day but i did manage to have 2 Popsicles. They took out my drain this morning and that made me feel alot better. Took the pressure off my abdomen. Had my shower and have been doing good on my walking this morning. They say i should be able to go home after lunch. -
Well its finally that time. Packed and ready to head to the hospital. My nerves are actually not that bad this morning, very surprised about that. I guess this is the first day of the rest of my life. Ready to get healthy!! I will keep you all updated.
