  1. 2012 OctoSleevers (We're up to 187 members!!)
  2. Not sure where the OPs WLS openings started but my 3 scars are at, & even with, my navel. My surgeon did that so they would be "removed" if I choose to have a tummy tuck later.
  3. Holy crap!! Look at you!! I bet you feel FANTASTIC!!! You are such an inspiration.

    Advice needed!

I just had the sleeve done in October and now have a friend interested in WLS but he wants to have the band because he doesn't want to have anything cut inside. Having read all the horror stories about bands slipping, eroding, etc. I want to be able to talk him out of getting the band and going with the sleeve. Any suggestions???

I Want To See Before & After Pics!

Not a "Before & After" but a pretty cool NSV: a LARGE hockey jersey actually fits over my hips! Whoop Whoop!!
  6. That's precisely what happened to me on all those other weight loss attempts. This time it's different because I know I'm going to keep losing. Now, when I get a compliment, in the back of my mind I'm thinking: "You ain't seen nuthin' yet!" :-)

  8. Alex, The app works fine on my iPhone 5 but has gotten less responsive on my iPad 2. Many of the command "buttons" are no longer working (aren't responding to touch). Sometimes they work when I switch from landscape to portrait mode.

    Where?

There are lots of companies out there from which to order one. I ordered mine from Lauren's Hope. My PA suggested this for the tag: GASTRIC SLEEVE NO BLIND NG TUBE NO NSAIDS (I also added no aspartame as I am allergic to it)

    Had My First Alcholic Beverage

I don't think there are any "hard-and-fast" rules. I think it depends on your doctor. I've seen people post on here "not until a year out" & others post they were one month post op & gave wine a try. I'm 7 weeks out & thinking I'm going to try a snort of something mixed with Protein2Go lemonade. At least I'll be getting some Protein in with my drink!!

    Had My First Alcholic Beverage

Oh yeah, Jaegermeister is licorice-flavored. That brings back some good (& not do good) memories from the bar-hoppin' days.....

    Help! Constipation

Fleet glycerine suppositories are good (& fast) if you don't want to consume more calories by trying to eat or drink something to make yourself go.

    Planar Fasiitis

Flip flops are horrible for PF because you are constantly gripping with your toes (unconsciously) to keep them on your feet. My recommendations are: boot at night, stretch (but no bouncing if you're hanging your heel over the edge of a stair), and walking (in a good walking shoe). Go to a running store & they will watch your gait as you walk & recommend the best walking (or running) shoe for you (based on pronation).
  14. LOL!!! Ok, so at least I know now that I'm not so old that I don't know the "cool kids" lingo :-)
  15. Since this is a questions thread, may I ask what "dde03" means?
