November 2011 I am ready to try something different. I met with a wt loss MD to see about my options.......
8/5/12 I am finally there...I am now on the waiting list to get insurance approval and set a date. It has been a long journey. I have completed the psych eval. - was soooo tempted to "have fun with the doctor" but was persuaded to be "good". I passed with flying colors. I am struggling with the total abstinence of cola drinks. Grape/strawberry crystal light is just not the same. I have been heavy for so long. I can't imagine what it will be like to not have 50 to 75 lbs of extra me. I want to be active again. I want to have good health before my knees and other things give out.
I have read many bander's stories. I am just like all of you. I hope to be a success like many of you have become. Will write more as I progress
9/13/12 I am now a bandster. I am learning how to eat smaller meals and eat slower. I find that slower is harder than smaller. I have read lots of posts and am grateful to them all. I am starting to lose wt. little by little. That was my plan. Little at a time to let me learn as I go. Everyone on this site is awesome. The advise is helpful. I have made a few friends and hope make more. Good luck to everybody.
