First Fill and able to eat a lot

I was banded on March 8, 2007 and recently had my first fill on April 28th on my 5cc band they filled me to a 2cc. Seeing that most ppl aren't banded that much on their first fill yet feel restriction I too am now concerned something is wrong. I don't feel a bit of restriction unless I eat too fast and have only lost 12lbs but that was prior to me first fill. Since my fill I've lost 0lbs and am now a bit confused. I did have a lower BMI to begin with but still thought that I would feel somewhat of restriction?? Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

    Fill amount Poll

I just had my first fill on 4/28 and she put in 2cc's on my 5cc band and i feel no restriction? What is wrong with me? Could it have anything to do with the fact I had a lower BMI when i began than most patients? I'm unfortunately able to consume anything including small bites of steak or salads, pita bread, etc..I understand will power does come into play I'm just curious about those of you who have alot of restriction with much less of a fill? Any help is greatly appreciated!

    March 2007 Bandsters

Lucky you getting banded in Plano, I'd love to be insurance pay but don't have the higher bmi or hypertension to justify it via the insurance. I live over in Plano too so we'll have to sync up and keep in touch afterwards to motivate each other...I'll start working out the week after I return..i hear we'll have allot more energy which I'm TOTALLY ready for!

Any Lower BMI bandsters out there post-op?

So how have you felt afterwards? Any throwing up or other issues that take some getting used to other than the water intake? Did you walk around allot after surgery? I hear they pump you full of air and you need to do alot of walking?

    Lower BMI Bandsters!

Hi All, I am having my surgery next Thursday March 8th in Monteray, Mexico self-pay! Dr. Rambaut has done more banding surgeries than anyone in the US, Mexico, or Canada and I've been researching him for about 6 months now. I cannot help but to be a bit nervous about not the pain afterwards but more or less what I can or cannot eat..I cannot imagine being full after 3 oz of food per meals..or not drinking water when I eat...Lifestyle changes will most-def have to occur...I have a lower 34 BMI than most people and wondered if anyone else out here might have the lower BMI like me?? :help: <!-- / message -->
