Hi!
My name is Cassandra, I am 40 years old and a mother of two. I started my weight lost journey in November 2011. At that time I was at 257 pounds and on 25 different medications a day and was pumping u-500 thou a insulin pump,taking around 100 units a day.My doctors told me if i didn't change my lifestyle i was going to die,and they didn't hold back any punches, it was clear what i had to do. I just didn't think i had the energy to do it.After looking over what the doctors told me, i knew they were right and i had to change. Then i started my journey in Nov. and here it is May. I am down to 222, have come off all medications., Even my insulin pump!!! I got my last fill April 22 that when i started really losing my weight since the surgery. I am averaging around 4 pound a week. Its all new to me and i am learning as i go.I am so Thankful for this website because i don't know anyone that has the lap band in my area, I know they are out there. I just don't know any of them.I have posted a few pictures and hopefully some new ones soon when i can tell there is a little difference. I hope i can be updating soon.
