Congratulations and good luck as you embark on this journey. My date is August 20th.

Well, after my husband, I told my bro in law cause he's my cardiologist. I then told my sister because he didn't want to keep a secret. I felt guilty so I told my parents. I few coworkers know because one of them was sleeved in February and got me thinking about this whole thing. That was in May. The secret was weighing me down. No pun intended. Lol. So today I told my daughters. My 26 and 23 year old had figured it out because my middle daughter was playing on my iPad and saw the vst notifications. Oy. The two oldest ones have been talking about it for a month, wondering when I was going to tell. So the only one who was surprised was my 17 year old. She was upset because she thinks after I lose the weight I won't be as comfortable to cuddle with! I didn't know what to say. It was easier then I thought. And a big relief After I lose weight, I think I'll have one of those banners made and fly it over the beach. Jk.

Good luck. I have the same no real pre op just clears day before.

my doctor doesnt require any real pre-op diet except to eat reasonable and start to practice the new way of live such as protein first, chew and eat slowly, low car/low fat etc. I do have an al clear liquid diet the day before. It's weird that different doctors require diferent things. After reading about the pre op diets here, I call my doctor and nut to make sure. good luck

I will be returning to the gym. I have tried every diet on the planet and am a regular gym rat. But still I am terribly overweight. That is why I have joined this amazing journey with all of you. I need to get my life back.

Hi. I'm from South Queens. Getting sleeved August 20th by Dr Yatco in Lenox Hill , NYC.

I don't know why, but I've been told that our tastes will change post op. drinks that we like now might not be so tasty later. I've been buying small, sample sizes, rtd bottles, etc. I'm having surgery in NYC, close to home, so I will have just a few thinks, mostly the clear liquid drinks. I did find some jello like packs with a high protein count that I am saving for that. I've been having a shake for breakfast and sometimes for lunch. Found a rtd in Costco that has 30g of protein. I don't have any real pre op diet, so I've just been playing August sleeve sisters, we are getting soooo close. Excited for us all to be on the losers bench. This is the very best thread. They should give us an award! Lol.

I have just a 24 hour clear liquid diet the day before. Check with your doctor.

Mine is myself. I am my own worse enemy. While others might look in the morrow and find the good, I knock myself down. Examine all the things I might have done or said and think how stupid I was. I want to have more confidence in myself I want to love me

I've gone to decaf for July and no more in August. We're Getty close ladies!
