I have been a chubby girl for most of my life. After my first child I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I was 298lbs at that time. More than 10 years later, my thyroid levels are still not stable. I have lost up to 80 lbs on my own more than once to just gain it back each time. In 2004, I was scheduled for the gastric bypass but after the new year my insurance stopped covering bariatrics. I continued to struggle with my weight. I was banded on May 16, 2012. I'm both excited and scared for my journey ahead.
