After researching it, I haven't found where carbonation stretches your stomach. I like energy drinks. I don't have to have a soda. I work at night and I used to drink half of one. (I work one night a week). I don't ever drink the whole. I know that this is totally loaded with sugar so this is why I am undecisive about it. Since before and after surgery, I have been pretty much sticking to the sugar free or at least as little as I can. I am going to work tonight for the first time in 10weeks and I want one. I am going to have one and let it water down. I am sure that I cannot have even half now without the effects of feeling jittery. I don't feel bad because we had surgery and made a lifetime change. We did not sign a death certificate or one where we should not experience the things that make us happy. We should treat ourselves sometimes within moderation. Like my doc says, you have to see what works with your body. You choose because only you have to live with consequences.

OMG, I feel the same way. Incredibly tired and just flat out tired. My eyes look all sunken in and I can't stand for too long. I don't have any problems from the surgery itself but my energy has just bottomed out. I even had some emotional separation problems. I will be glad when this passes because it makes me want to question my decision to have the surgery.

My prayers and blessings are with you. Just as someone said the power of positive thinking is a booger! It requires you though and your belief in what will be. Take control and will yourself to health. Good Luck! -
Anyone Regret Being Sleeved?
sassymac69 replied to Preacher's Wife's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I don't know if that is how I would describe it but yes I question my decision. When you begin to feel better, I am sure that you will have a different outlook on the whole thing. This is the time I want you at your strongest. Self motivation and positive thinking. Think to your self that you can do this because this decision was something not made in haste. This too shall pass. When down, you can only look up. Believe me, I take this advice as well and some days I try not too. I will be joining with you for both of us to get stronger. -
Anyone Who Cant Stomach Protein Mix..
sassymac69 replied to jaymzee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't know if you can do it but my girlfriends turned me on to 2 scoops whey, 11/2 tbls peanut butter, 8oz skim milk, greek yogurt. I can stomach this. It tastes like butterscotch. One of them use frozen fruit as well and the other uses a banana. It might not sound good but it is very good. Hope you can use and stomach. Please pass on. -
Very Tired & Low Energy - 10 Days Post-Op
sassymac69 replied to trojanchick's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
OMG! I am so thankful that I too am not alone. I had my surgery on 5/14 and I feel so exhausted and believe it or not I didn't feel this way at first. I started feeling this way on 5/19. I didn't know what was going on. My doctor said this is normal but I hate to see when his definition of normal truly kicks in (lol). I'm sorry that I don't have an answer. -
6 Days Post-Op, Is This Normal?
sassymac69 replied to raven8888's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 6 days post-op and I have been experiencing the same problem. However, I started the 2nd day and the doctor said that this is in fact normal. 5th day much better and today none so far (10:50 A.M). He also said that some people experience a heavy feeling in their chest. I am feeling a little weak today and somewhat tired. together we will make it. Sassymac69
