Hello All, I'm sorry for my absence. My father passed away on October 23rd after spending 34 days in the ICU. It has been a very difficult time for me and my family. we are all still in shock. I have gained about 5 lbs and it's time for me to get back on track and start holding myself accountable. Have done some emotional eating but not as bad if I didn't have my band. I have a fill on Thursday. Need one. I hope everyone is well. I need to catch up with everyone. --jenni

Hey Natalie So sorry to hear about your friend. Unfortunately I have been MIA because my dad has been ill-admitted into hospital yesterday and moved to ICU today. He will undergo an biopsy of his lungs tomorrow morning to see what they need to do to treat the pneumonia. I am very worried. My eating has been light- yogurt, hot tea and Soup -and I have lost a few pounds this week. Stress and a tight band. Enjoy you pizza night!

So yesterday I reset and had a great day. I started the morning with my first 5K! I haven't really been doing the couch to 5K but I decided to go anyway. I walked most of it but did do some running. My friend and some fellow WLS support group members came. It was fun and definitely want to sign up for another one. Yesterday's meals: Breakfast: coffee/water Lunch/Brunch: a few bites of omlette, slice of bacon, 3 small pieces of hash brown potatoes Dinner: 3 oz Turkey meatballs, broccoli 1/4 cup Today: Breakfast: Protein Shake Lunch: 3oz meatballs Dinner: 3 oz meatballs, bit of broccoli Snack: greek yogurt Trying to get Water in and able to hop on the treadmill!! Oh, and a NSV for me....after the 5K I went and bought new workout pants since my old ones are too loose. I had to keep pulling them up while I was running. :) i did a lot of reading last night about overeating and the band. A reality check for me. Don't want a band slip so I guess I need to get this emotional eating in check. I have focused on eating a lot slower so it gives my brain a chance to register full.

Not the best eating for the past few days. Not quite sure what is going on with me but I am eating past full and too quickly. I have got to stop!! I am embarrassed and ashamed about my food today but I am writing it down: I took my son to a pancake breakfast fundraiser at his school. Ugh. Here goes- 1 egg, 2slices bacon, I slice ham and 1 sausage patty Lunch- 2 slices salami, pretzel crisps 10 or so (eating out of bag) Dinner- m&ms And during the day I had 3 mini powdered doughnuts. I really hope I haven't stretched out my band. I need to get this under control. Natalie- Love your new pic! I hope work becomes less stressful.

Yes, I downloaded the app but it will not let me access any of my groups. So frustrating! I might just try logging in on the website and forget the app. Your food journal is always awesome! I feel like I have been snacking too much this summer and need to stop! Have a great day everyone!

Oops, forgot to post my meals: Today: Breakfast: 1 turkey sausage Lunch: Protein Shake Dinner: 1/2 cup broccoli, 4 oz fish Snacks: (confession time) mini m&m's 1/4 cup frozen yogurt

I hate that I can't log into this group on my phone or iPad! It only lets me log in via my computer. Anyway, I had my 3rd fill on Sept 5th and dr put another 1cc for a total of 6cc. Feeling some restriction, I think. I still get this awful neck shoulder pain that feels like the gas pains right after surgery. My docotr thinks I may be eating too large of a portion and it's causing pressure. But even being on liquids the First few days after the fill I was in pain. It seems to be a bit better but now but it is definitely annoying! I just hope nothing is wrong. Natalie--Yes, next year will be the year of the bikini! Ha! Party sounds fun and what a great feeling to get compliments on your skinny dress! Hope you are adjusting the the work schedule but great job on keeping up the workouts. Hi Sabirna--Great progress! Staying accountable here and on My Fitness Pal helps with my motivation and also weighing daily. And Youtube! Keep on your path! Lose_it--I'm also more cautious after this fill about what I eat. I think i am getting closer to the green zone.

Hi All!! Sorry I have been MIA the last few weeks. Was out of town at the beach for a week and then getting my son ready for Pre-K and this past weekend at the beach again. It's been fun and crazy but ready to get back to basics and eon plan. I gained 4 lbs during the first week on vacation. Ugg. Got 2 lbs of it off and now trying to get the rest off. I have my 3rd fill tomorrow and I am worried that my dr will be disappointed with my progress. Haven't lost much this month and feel like I'm getting back into some bad habits. I signed up for a 5 K that is in less than 2 weeks and I'm not ready for it!! I hope everyone is doing well and I need to catch up on posts. Breakfast: none Lunch: cup of crab bisque soup with cracker Dinner: 2oz chicken Not enough Water

Happy Monday All! Here's to a great day to a new week. Saturday I'm going on a family beach vacation so this week needs to be a good one. I think I need to exercise first thing this morning so it doesn't take a back seat to everything else today. Great eating yesterday, Natalie!

That's great! Way to go!

That's fantastic! What a great idea of adding beads. Might have to do that too.

Sounds like everyone is doing great! It was a busy week and this weekend I was out of town. My eating has been okay but I find myself pushing the limits on what I can eat. I am doing more bites and tastes of things I shouldn't eat. Uggg. Exercise has been hard too! My plan is clean eating and treadmill tomorrow! My support group went well. There are quite a few people and lots of inspirational stories. This meeting there was a Zumba instructor who lost a lot of weight (husband had WLS) and she went through a Zumba lesson with us. Fun! Even though I'm sure I looked absolutely ridiculous. Ha! Yes, Natalie, we all would have a great support group! Hope your therapy session went well. Solving the weight issues are hard enough but the mental stuff is harder. Loseit-My husband and I remodeled our first house and I'll never do it again. Whymomwhy-Great job while camping! Here's what I ate today: Part of a bacon, egg, cheese, potato breakfast taco (no tortilla) Part of a carne guisada beef taco (no tortilla) 3 ounces cheese 3 pita chips 1/4 cup chicken salad 1/2 cup tomato soup 5 oyster crackers Great to be back online! Missed you guys.

Natalie-Great job on the elliptical! Lose_it-Your soup sounds yummy. Have a great day everyone. My goals are to get my Water in today. My support group is tonight. Looking forward to it. They always have some sort of guest speaker and then a sharing time. It really does help to keep me motivated. Let us know how yours goes tonight Natalie.

Lapbandtalk For Iphone, Ipad And Ipod Touch App Has Launched!
Jenbass16 replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
I have the iPhone and iPad app but I'm not able to post to my Subscriped group threads that I am following. I get an error screen that reads: You do not have permission to view this topic. Any assistance is appreciated! Thanks. -
Okay, so i'm having issues logging and posting from my iPhone. Ugg...I'll have to figure it out! Anyway for today: Breakfast: Hot decaf tea with cup of milk (The heat is helping my band. Dr recommended me try hot liquids since I continue to have some pain in my left shoulder. Probably pressure/swelling. Hopefully nothing wrong and trying not to obsess. I'm supposed to keep detailed records of when I feel the pain and he might do an upper GI next appt.) Lunch: 1 egg, 2 slices bacon, Chobani Champions Greek Yogurt Dinner: 2oz pork roast, 1/4 cup hominy I got in 40 minutes of walking. Could not jog today...I've taken some days off of exercise and I feel like i'm starting over again! Natalie--Hope you are feeling better! Whymomwhy--Thanks! You are making great progress too! Like your drink idea. I miss my Gin and tonics. No more tonic for me. Oh well!

Natalie, Couch to 5k is so hard for me and I my run is more like a slow jog or fast walk. Doing it is giving me some motivation and structure to my workouts. I was out of town part of this week so I'm behind in my workouts! I need to get on the treadmill TODAY!! It will be a hard workout and I'm hoping I survive! Do not feel disgusted with yourself! Your journal looks great for going to parties. I think I would have wanted to eat a whole bowl of spinach artichoke dip. Here's to eating clean today!

Not very hungry and still on liquids... Breakfast: Hot tea with milk Lunch: Hot tea with Milk Dinner: cheese Soup Snack: Lemonade/Popsicle Need to get some more Water in to get to my 64 oz goal. Hope everyone had a great day!

Hey Natalie, Weigh in went went well and lost 2.4 pounds from last week but now I'm back from where I started with the gain. Ugg. Anyway, going to keep plugging away! More Water and exercise. I am doing the Couch to 5k and missed a few workouts this week so I need to get with the program! The 2nd fill went well and he added 2 more cc's so now I'm up to 5cc and can definitely notice the difference in restriction. I stuck to mostly liquids yesterday since I was going to weigh in at the doctors and now will be on liquids for 2 day. Here is my food for yesterday: Breakfast: Decaf hot tea with milk Bite of brownie (WTH?? I have now thrown them away!!) Lunch: 2 Slices nectarine Hot Tea Dinner: Vegetable broth Good luck this weekend and have fun. It is all a balance game!

Hi All, I have been following this thread for awhile and think it's time for me to start posting! I have been stalled for the past 3 weeks. Today is my weigh in day and I'm scared to get on the scale. I think I'm doing well but I am doing more tastes and bites of food throughout the day. I had my surgery May 18th and have lost about 28 pounds. I go and get my 2nd Fill today. I'm hoping this will help! Thanks!! jennifer

WandaO-That's awesome! Great weight loss and story. Happy Bandaversary! My One Month will be coming up on the 18th. I've lost 15 lbs since my surgery date and I couldn't be happier with the results so far. My pants are fitting loser and that's the best feeling. Looking forward to getting my first fill and my diet progressing to the next stage.

Thanks Sleepyone405! Welcome to you too! Well, yesterday marked 3 weeks Post Op! Can't believe it. It took me a lot longer than I thought to feel back to normal--about 2weeks. At about day 10 was the beginning of the turnaround for me. I had a hiatal hernia fixed during the lab band surgery and that really made for a more painful recovery for me. My surgeon removed the 2cc from my band 1 week PO so it would relive some pressure for me. It definitely helped so I could actually drink and breath a lot easier. Since my surgeon thinks I had quite a bit of swelling I am still on full liquids. Waiting till after week 4 for oatmeal and cream of wheat. I never thought I would crave oatmeal but I can't wait. Not sure if I'll ever be able to eat soup again. My first fill is June 28th so I am looking forward to that! Sorry for the rambling....I hope you are recovering well.

sleepyone405--Bought a treadmill and few years ago and it's been a great investment. There really is no excuse not to work out it's right there in your house! So I didn't treadmill it yesterday but did get out for walk. Plan to do the same today.
