With my low BMi I have to have diabetes sleep apnea or high blood pressure to get qualified. I don't have high blood pressure or diabetes. Got my blood tests results today and I do have hyperthyroidism. I have a sleep study the 29th. Does anyone else have hyperthyroidism and sleep apnea?

I just sent in my info for a consultation. My BMi is 38 so with my insurance I have to a BMi over 40 to automatically qualify and 35-39 I must have high blood pressure diabetes or sleep apnea along with it to qualify. I go monday to get blood work for diabetes as I didn't have high blood pressure. If no diabetes I'll be on to the sleep study to check for sleep apnea.

Hey everyone! I've been researching lap band as a tool to help me to get to my weight loss goal. I'm 26 191 lbs with a BMi of 37. I have to do something and like I said I think lap band is the tool I need. Just wanted more info from people who have gone through it as what all you do and go through as you decide this is what you want to do. Didn't know what all you had to do to lead up to your surgery. Any Info will be appreciated:)

I've always been on a diet and it never works. I was a nanny for four years and it was a extinct schedule and most of our meals came from a drive through. I'm ready for a set schedule. I'm ready to do social things with my friends that aren't just always dinner. Eating is always the social thing in my life. I called my insurance and I has a 200 deductible and they pay 90 percent after te deductible. It kicks in June 1st so I'm going to try and change my plan bf then to avoid the deductible. Should've paid more attention in picking my plan lol also once my insurance kicks in I can use it for lap band. I don't have to wait any certain amount of time. Now to research a seminar to go to:) How is the diet bf and what have u managed to get down after? I'm so exited for us all:)))

I've been reading up for about a month now. I read my insurance doesn't make you do a diet anymore. But I'm not sure if you have to be with them for so long before they will approve you. It kicks in June 1st so I can't wait to call!

I was just wanting more information as to how long after your first doctors appointment did it take to get your surgery? And what things did you do? Did you have to do a diet for so Long before your surgery? I guess just wanting the steps you have to go through. Thanks so much for the reply!
