How Bad Is Post-Op Farting?
Boopsey replied to Shape_Shifter's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I burp a lot too. Fortunately, I have not had a "fart" accident. I knew I'd better run to the bathroom if I felt one coming from reading on here. Glad I listened. lol I'm 6 days out from surgery now, so hopefully all the gas is about out! -
How Bad Is Post-Op Farting?

Do NOT fart unless you are sitting on the toilet! I'm 6 days out today, and no way would I even think about letting one "slip" out. Sometimes it IS just a fart, but sometimes it is NOT. lol -

my favorite for a "crunchy" snack (not right now though, but I did these before my surgery 7/23) is to take a saucer, spray it with PAM, put a piece of cheese on it and NUKE it in the microwave for a minute. Then take it out, let it cool a few seconds and whalah, a crunchy cheesy snack! -

Im So Scared To Do This!
Boopsey replied to JentryB2020's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Do not be afraid. Hubby just came home from having his sleeve done on Tuesday. He is doing wonderful and I'm having mine on July 23. I am psyched to get started with it. Believe me, I was so afraid that he'd be complaining about pain, and being miserable and make me chicken out, but he has been a real trooper. HE was up walking the 1st day, walked a bunch yesterday and today. Do what they say, and you'll be just fine. Walk, walk, walk and Sip, sip, sip. The worst part of the whole thing for him was the uncomfortable hospital bed. He's so happy to be home in his chair today. The world of medicine has come a long way. Do not be afraid. Go for it with confidence! -

South Carolina Sleevers! Who/what/where/when?
Boopsey replied to LauraTarry's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hubby is having his in the am with Dr. Johnson in Spartanburg. Mine will be 7/23 with Dr. Johnson -
hubby put in his request in yesterday for his favorite homecooked meal today. Guess it was my last too, lol. His surgery is 6/26 and mine will be 7/23. No way am I eating in this house when he can't. He actually starts his pre-op diet on Tuesday. I've been doing shakes for breakfast, chicken broth for lunch, and a "sensible" meal for 2 weeks. I can't go cold-turkey all at once. Trying to ease my way into it. Good luck yall.

Hi, so glad to see some SC people on here! My husband and I both will be having VSG with Dr. Jason Johnson. We don't have surgery dates yet, but we are jumping thru hoops now. We already had our initial consultations, 6 weeks of supervised diet, meeting to go over medical records, and have appts for psyche, exams, and endoscopies in the next couple of weeks. Anyone here had surgery by Dr. Johnson in Spartanburg?
