    Coffee

I had surgery on 2/14. I drink 1 cup in the morning (black). My NUT said it was okay if I got my water in... I started around week 3-4.

    5 Weeks Post Op

I had surgery on 2/14, and I am at 35. I have also had a total of 9 surgeries on my legs (6 knee). I have just been walking and recently started the elliptical. It's remarkable how much better my legs feel. I had a slow week around wk 3. Now it's picking up. It just takes time. Best of luck!

    Fabulous February Post-Op's

Helllllo! I had my 3 week post op yesterday... (I had to change my appt last week, so had to push it to 3 instead of 2). All went well, right where they want me to be, except they want me to increase my calories. Right now it's a struggle to get in 500, and they want me at least 800 by next appointment. I can have cooked vegies, soft fish, turkey and soft cheese. One thing I didn't know, was that I am supposed to take the prilosec for 3 months post op to assist avoiding an ulcer. I thought it was just if I was uncomfortable. So, I started taking it again. I am also drinking a bit of coffee each morning (black). Since I am able to get all of my Water in, my doc said that was okay. This is by far one of the best life decisions I have ever made. I feel blessed that I have not had any complications or issues other than having sleep problems, which are getting better. I am so hopeful for the future and look forward to it!

    Oikos Greek Yogurt

I live on this.... Oikos or Chibani. Plain, fat free. I mix it with soup to make it creamy and boost the protein.

    2 weeks post op question

I am almost 3 weeks out and I had a bit of discomfort and found it went away if I had something to drink.
  6. Finally! I am on the other side. All went well, nothing earth shattering to report. Thank you for all of the great support here! On my way to a smaller me. So worth it. I know feel that I am in control instead of the food. I know I have done the right thing!
  7. Well, I am pre-surgery, but I had perfect teeth until I got pregnant. After that, periodontists, root canals and crowns. But, I do think if you don't take enough calcium it can make it worse.

    Fabulous February Post-Op's

I am so sorry to hear that. I didn't realize that pooping is so important. My doc brought it up, but wasn't concerned about it. I also don't have to do the super "cleanse" pre-surgery. It's strange how it differs so much. I hope you see some action soon. Maybe prune juice???

    Probiotics

There is a liquid one, right by the yogurt. I think I'm going to try that one!

    Fabulous February Post-Op's

Okay, you guys are freaking me out (and making me laugh). I go in tomorrow morning. My doc said I didn't need to poop before I left. Thank God. I'm a home pooper. I'm glad you are all doing well, and will join in hopefully later tomorrow. Not looking forward to the catheter....
  14. Thank you! I really don't want to change my date again. I could always have my husband stay home for a few days!
  15. I wouldn't be able to lift him anyway. He's 6'1". I figure I can carry a gatorade and a bowl of food to him! I just hope it goes like all of my other surgeries!
