    When Could You Swallow Pills?

I've been taking capsules and pills since post op day 4. I take 5 if them in the am and 6 in the pm. I can't eat anything for about an hour before or after. I can barely eat but I can get down my pills...go figure. I was taking my Norco after surgery in pill form because the liquid wouldn't stay down.
  5. I've read about the stalls and it didn't bother me last week but now that's its been 2 wks I'm getting annoyed. I'm almost 7 wks post op, 53 lbs down, but haven't lost a think in two weeks. Except inches...I've lost 6 in the bust and 5 1/2 in the waist in the 2 wks my weight has stalled. I haven't begun exercising yet so it doesn't make sense to me. I'm still not getting all my protein in and just this week started to be able to get in all my fluids. ???????

    Frustrated...2 Wk Stall

No, don't think so. I had an ablation so my periods are extremely light and I had one 2 wks ago. I haven't had much of a bm though maybe I need to take something and see if that works.

    Ladies - Uti Questions

Considering you just had an ablation I assume your not taking baths correct? Are they giving you the same antibiotic each time? Also, like the last person said...are the sending your urine for a c&s? They test it in the office, but they should also be sending it to the lab for further testing. Dehydration can cause a uti, I had that happen 3 wks post op and ended up with kidney stones too. Make sure you are staying hydrated, check with the dr office and find out if they have sent your urine to the lab, and if you are taking the same antibiotic everytime, then maybe you need something more effective. I don't think it has anything to do with the dr unless she's checking you without gloves and if that's the case I hope you would have b**** slapped her and then once again for me. How long ago were you sleeved? Did this happen right after you were sleeved? The Foley catheters can cause them sometimes if they are in for a while. I don't think that's it either, but dehydration can definitely do it. Drink Gatorade and cranberry juice. Hope you feel better!

    Planar Fasiitis

Ill try that! Thank you! I've had this pain for 2 yrs now its expected, but it doesn't help me if I can't walk. I googled it last night that's how I knew it was a "real" pain and not just be sues if my weight like my doc has lead me to believe.
  14. Happy to hear its something that can be treated at home. Get well soon! Praying for you!
  15. I don't remember anything between the time the anesthesia came to pre op and gave me something in my IV to the time I was already in my room. Very uncommon for me I usually remember everything for transferring myself into the OR table to being extabated after I wake even with Versed. Not this time, I was knocked out. I had a dilauted pump so I could medicate myself every 8 mins as needed and I don't remember much the first two days except being nauseas. As soon as they stopped the pump, I was no longer nauseas. I was in ICU for 3 days so I wasn't allowed out of bed, but once they transferred me to the floor I was off and running. It really felt good to walk and I was nicknamed hustler by the nurses because I was walking fast and a lot! Lol I told them I was working on my escape. Ill be praying for you! The surgery is not bad at all, wisdom teeth is still number 1 for the worst surgery I've had and I've had many major surgeries besides!

    Crockpot Pesto Chicken

I have the lactose intolerance so I have been miserable with food, but I finally got out of my funk and started cooking again. The goat cheese was a great accessory and my h needed to fill my void.

    Crockpot Pesto Chicken

I use chicken cutlets and add pesto to the tops if the cutlets, cooked on the warm setting for 5 hours. I took them out and topped it off with goat cheese and sundried tomatoes (I use Classico Sundried Tomato Pesto). I placed it I. The oven for a few minutes. YUMMY!! My husband who has a Lapband shared it with me and it was awesome!

    Pureed

My fav puréed meals are: Boiled egg chopped Light mayo Mustard Dill Mix and enjoy! Another: Canned chicken breast Italian dressing Mix and enjoy!
  19. Have you been measuring yourself? I've only lost 3 lbs in the last 2 weeks last week I lost none, but I started measuring myself and I've list 4 inches in the bust and 3 in the waist. Even if your not losing weight your losing inches. Try that to keep from getting frustrated about the weight stall.
  20. I just started taking measurements so I don't really know what an average is. I only lost 3 lbs last week but I lost 4 inches in my bust and 3 off my waist. Is that good or not so good?

    Pureed Recipes

There's a recipe section on the forum with a few puréed recipes. My fav was the ricotta bake. Ricotta mixed with mozz and an egg topped with marinara. Really good except I learned I had a lactose intolerance that week. . I also like egg salad, boiled an egg mixed with light mayo, mustard and dill. Aweeeesome!

    Really Sick Of This

Are you taking any B vitamins? If your thiamine is low which most WLS patients are post op, then you will be nauseas. They gave me an injection of it, but you can buy it OTC too. If I remember correctly its B-1. Just trying to think of other things that might help. Praying for ya!

    What Average Weekly Inches Loss?

Thanks! I just wasn't expecting a stall since I still can't eat much. Last week I didn't shed any weight that's why I took measurements. I had to pack up some clothes this week because they no longer fit. I've gone from a 24 to a loose 20. I guess since I've had such big numbers the first 4 wks I just expected it to continue. It's going just in other means rather than the scale.
