Time To Check Out My Hospital's Er!
sleeve_sister replied to lizv123's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Liz, so glad your getting better! My fav mushy meals were: Canned chicken breast chicken marinated in Italian dressing Egg salad with light mayo, mustard, and dill seasoning Taco soup (I posted the recipe on this site) Canned chicken breast chicken with pesto, goat cheese, and sundried tomatoes I had the lactose issue until about week 6 and lived off the first two until then. Still praying for ya girl! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Julie -
You can add some chicken broth. It should be creamy but not a dip.

Christmas Day Challenge!
sleeve_sister replied to AKSleever's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have a blessed day! Enjoy your family! I have been with my cousin for 2 weeks now. She lost her 41 yr old healthy husband to a massive heart attack 3 weeks ago. So, I'm away from my hubby and kids, but Christmas comes every year and Jesus is with me day by day. -

sleeve_sister replied to mandyMO's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was hospitalized 3 times and 3rd was for a week. I don't have FVL but I ended up with a uti and kidney stones from the dehydration. It's soooo hard to get fluids in...forget about the protein and drink Gatorade until u can tolerate more. It gets better promise! Praying for you! -

I feel your pain! Been there, u couldn't even eat a sliver if cheese without getting sick. However, I'm almost 10 wks out and although I can't tolerate ice cream or milk, I can tolerate most cheese in moderation. Good luck! -
NSAIDs naughty/nice poll
sleeve_sister replied to Tenshi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

It's interesting the difference in surgeon opinions. I read that Celebrex is the only NSAID approved for the sleeve. I can't imagine that people with arthritis such as myself would be a candidate for WLS if we can't take NSAIDs. I'm calling my surgeon today I'm curious what his opinion is considering it was never mentioned. -

My doc never mentioned whether or not I could take them, however, I just finished a steroid pack and am on Celebrex. Im 9 weeks out. -
struggling on my 4th week
sleeve_sister replied to missT's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It gets better! It took about 6 weeks for me. I'm now 9 weeks and doing great. Those first 6 weeks were awful and I was hospitalized for a week at week 3! Hang in there and drink Gatorade to stay hydrated. -

Anyone have this? I have been trying to walk for exercise and its just getting worse. I've told my rheumatologist about the pain and they just ignore it and act as though its my weight. I've lost 53 lbs and my feet are getting worse not better. I can barely walk in the morning, I have to have my hubby help me to the bathroom. Should I be concerned or just keep trying to walk? What kind if Dr. do I see fir this? Podiatrist or Ortho? I really want to join the gym but I don't want this to discourage me from going.
