angelakay2 replied to billyvmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't know how far post op you are but it will come in time. I am almost 12 weeks post op and I am just now being able to get my liquid in. I keep a Water bottle with me and drink as much as I can. Good luck! -
Great Protein Powder
angelakay2 replied to ho11ieberry06's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Thanks! I am having a terrible time getting my protein in. I think my best bet may be to find an unflavored protein. -
I need to get back on track as well. I have found that I am making pretty healthy choices but I feel as if I am always eating.

I am definitely not getting enough protein in and I also have the water nausea but I have found that I can handle the Gatorade G2 better than water. Also, Special K makes a pink lemonade with protein in it. It's tolerable. I also found that I can handle the chicken in a can...like tuna...if I mash it up well and that has protein. Good luck and I hope your tastebuds come back! lol

angelakay2 replied to Karen2012's topic in Food and Nutrition
I know everyone's doc is different but have you looked at your allowance for 3 weeks? I was allowed refried beans at 3 weeks. I used a teeny bit of sour cream and I felt like I was eating a steak! It will get better!! I am almost 5 weeks post op and I am handling things much much better! -
That's so encouraging!!!
