I am the fat girl in my circle of friends. I have told my close friend about the wls and put them on notice that they will need to find a new fat girl 'cuz hopefully I won't fit the criteria much longer!

Be proud and know that sleevers like you are an inspiration to futures sleevers who are getting cold feet! My surgery date is 6/13 and i am petrified so I look for people like you to keep my feet warm!

I know some of yall must be rolling your eyes but ave you thought or tried the pre-op diet on a long term basis as an alternative to wls? I getting super duper cold feet!

Thank you sooooo much to all of you! I have not ever had surgery and I have this image that I will not ever be able to eat dinner with my family or enjoy a restaurant again. Eeeek...so scared!

I am on my 2nd day of the pre-op diet and I am absolutely miserable. I am soooooo hungry and feel weak! Any suggestions? My pre-op consists of 2 shakes, 2 cups of green veggies and 2 cups of chicken broth for the whole day!

I use to walk by a machine that looked interesting and then walk by it again. Then, I would circle it like a shark in hopes of seeing the instructions on how to get into the machine. Now, I just stand there like i have no shame and look at the instructions, diagrams, pictures and anything else that will help me figure the contraption out!

I'm not sure but I will say that i am living on Mio! My surgery is 6-13 and this pre-op diet is making crazy. Mio and Crystal Light are keeping me sane!

Wow! Today is day 3 of my pre-op diet and all I can say is wow! I was a Diet Coke fanatic and the caffeine withdrawal headaches have been horrendous!

My name is Angie and and I am mommy to a year old little girl. I have had weight issues on and off for many years. I have successfully lost weight and felt fabulous. Of course I fell off the wagon and I am here now! I am a veteran of the U.S. Army (as ashamed as I am to say that because of my weight). As of today, I have been through the insurance approval process and I am 3 days in on my pre-op diet. Do you still regret it and how are you feeling in terms of pain? Are you still hunger post-op?

That is an excellent question for your doctor and I would be curious to know the answer. I was told no gum after surgery because if it was swallowed it would cause a problem with such a small stomach.

Your diet sounds like mine but I was told I could have a cup of leafy greens a day (they come right back out). However, they did not mention SF Jello or pudding so I will be calling the asap because I am ready to gnaw on anything! I am sooooo hungry!!!! Good luck and keep us posted!!!
