    worried...

    Yes,i tried to call but since i am in Ottawa Canada the call won't go thrue. She did just respond to say her spam filter might have filtered my e-mails and to ask away regarding my questions.I responded but she hasn't answered.
  2. Hi I am from Ottawa and i was banded in Baie st paul.My doctor has since moved to Montreal making the drive from 8 hrd to 2 1/2! yipeee! I have a 9cc Inamed band.I didn't have a choice and was not consulted regarding what type of band. Chantal

    Thank You! I guess i need to figure out how and when to stop aswell.I was doing well but lately have been snacking entirely too much and the scale has not moved.It hasn't gone up Thank God!But nevertherless I am dissapointed in myself for not trying as hard to eat right,not exercising and basically just bummed out.I continuously overeat or eat when i am not hungry.I think i will speak to my doctor soon for some cognitive behavior counselling. I know exactly what i am doing when i eat...it's not mindless.I don't eat from stress or emotions.I eat to entertain myself and because i enjoy it (I almost feel embarrassed to admit that,how sad!) Some people say,well find a hobby or do something else but gosh it's not that easy.Once i tell myself in my head that this item of food would be good it's bye bye commintement to health! I've ordered protein powder online and hope to use this in the evening as my something to do snack! C
  5. I like to feel full after i eat,not just like i am not hungry but to actually feeeeel it. My question is, do you think by feeling the fullness i overeat?Could i stretch or harm the band?I am not talking about feeling sick or stuffed but just that gentle pressure and 'oh man i'm full' kind of feeling in my belly.     Food

    First of all don't beat yourself up! You already know what you did wasn't ok for right now so now all you have to do is move on. My suggestions are: Yes, call someone at that time. Maybe go out for a power walk Take a hot shower AND brush your teeth Drink an outrageous amount of Water Have a hot drink,decaf coffee or tea Have a healthy snack Have a Protein drink re-organise something,cupboards,picture albums,clothes closet ect. Instead of watching tv throw on a CD and dance like a crazy woman I totally understand how you felt and why you did it.I ate a toasted hot dog in my second week and was horrified.(and i don't even like hot dogs...that's all we had in the house!)I didn't have this resource then either and could not believe after everything i'd went through to get the band i would break down not two weeks later. You didn't throw up cuz you are not restricted yet. Take care and forget about it or take it as a lesson learned type of deal!!     protien samples

    After reading this thread i went to bariatriceating.com and ordered two different samples, the gold double chocolate ice cream powder and the roadside lemonade.The total was 11.95 (8.45!for the shipping!Stinking Canada,haha JK) I have never tried any protein and hope to replace my evening snacking with a shake!!     Our kids

    Just running with an idea Darcy mentioned in another post: how are you with your kids and their nutrition? I hear so many horror stories from people of when they were kids and what their parents did 'for their own good'. I don't want my kids to be overweight because we all know how cruel kids can be to the fat ones(not to mention their health) but i also don't want them to be denied treats either. Something i found myself doing and trying to correct is, if and when the kids get none nutritious foods i tend to give less to my daughter.(I have tears as i am writting this) Ok... full crying and back from the washroom. Anyways... My son is 5 and extremely skinny and my daughter is 2 and still has her babyfat and rounded belly.I hope she gets skinny like Ryan but i don't want to warp her!I try to be casual about it but for now i am so happy when she chooses on her own the apple instead of crackers and such. She'll usually eat all her veggies and some meat and leave the rest and i NEVER say one more bite, regardless of how much they eat.Sometimes they hardly eat anything and will ask for peanut butter toast(ww bread, light PB, no butter)and milk before bed or fruit. What about you guys??? Chantal

    Our kids

    I don't keep junk food as well,not even juice.They have the choice of milk or water.The fruit is on the bottom shelf of the fridge.They do get treats such as popcorn or chips or thoses nasty fruit roll ups on occasion.I'm worried that they will have issues with those kinds of food because of lack of them? Ryan thinks that when he eats his portion of veggies that it makes his muscles extra large and will get up from the table so i can feel them! too cute:) C

    Has this happened to anyone?

    Hi Masha, I experienced the same as you did.I was super restricted and then alsomst overnight it's gone.This has been going on over a week and now i schedualed another fill.23-06-04 When he did the last one he put in 2 then took . something out,i took another sip and he wanted to take more and i insisted that he didn't. C

    Right! I do know you and Donali not too sure who Nancy is,what her name here?I also know Darcy. But what i meant was, i didn't know Jill and Sandy. Thanks to whoever started this site...I love it and it is so unbelievably reassuring to have all of you here! I was majorly lost the first year and kept asking my doctor if he could ask any of the other patients if we could exchange #'s but of course he just ignored me.Then i stumble across this place. I learned to ask/insist for the stinking fills and quit accepting the fact that my Dr thought i was fine without it!I lost 15 pounds the first year. Chantal ps can someone tell me what is hanvan?

    help

    I have been tracking my food on fitday and it looks like i don't have enough calories BUT i don't see the #'s moving on the scale. Could it be that i don't eat enough??? Today:(I already know what i'll eat) coffee 2cream and 1 sugar about 1/2 cup pineapple(struggled) 2 mini sandwich bologna sandwiches with lettuce& cheese(if i can) mustard apple no skin medium slisbury steak w gravy about 4 oz mixed salad w garlic dressing 1 c milk 2 % Total 876 cals I don't know what else i could add that would give me Protein and when to eat it??? Any ideas?Is this enough food or not enough patience.I have super good restriction right up until dinner time then it's almost a free for all.Going for another small fill June 23rd but i am nervous about my daytime restriciton. C

    feeling fine

    Last month there was snow on the ground and it was freezing here in Ottawa...today it is over 30 degrees and B~U~TI~FULL!! It makes me want to run out and cook myself in the soleil!!! I got a super short haircut at lunch and it looks like i lost 10 pounds and i might, just might get another tattoo on Saturday :guess I feel light and happy it's so awesome to have hope for the future Have an awesome week-end people!!
