7 months out, have lost 48 pounds, thought it would be more but still happy the weight is gone!
-
Well here is update number 2 out of HOPEFULLY 5...I am updating my experience every 20 pounds and I honestly didn't think it would be at WEEK 20 before I got to 40 pounds. Yes i am VERRRRYYY happy that that 40 pounds is long gone BUT i am creeping up on that 6 month mark. I really hope the slow down doesn't kick because I am already going very sllllooowwww, pretty much this whole time I have been. I really think that it has to do with my hormones tho (PCOS). I am working out, doing my Protein, and drinking my Water, there's not too much more I can do really-maybe up my workouts some more but that is going to be really hard for me to do.... I did have a 6 week stall that I just came out of and that was no fun at all:/ I also think that had something to do with my SEVERE BACKUP LOL! I was using suppositories, Fiber, prune juice, smooth move, you name it and nothing was working. I Took dulcolax 3 nights in a row and finally it all came out....sorry if tmi. I instantly lost 3 pounds of waste...grosssss but I felt so much better. I have had no problems the whole time pain or eating wise though, I can eat whatever I want and have no problem, sometimes beef gives me a bloaty feeling but most of the time it is ok as long as I go slow. I will update my headless picture as soon as someone comes home to take it lol:P BTW I am a size 14 now, 5'4 and 188 pounds as of today!

I am backed up! Have taken stool softener pills, mirlax, fiber, fiber gummy, laxative tea, prune juice, enemas, n suppositories and haven't had a good movement in about a month...not in pain, a little comes out but not a lot. Just lots of gas!! Lots! Also haven't lost any weight n a month, am around 20 weeks out? What to do???? N think no weight loss because backed up?

Thanks guys for your suggestions, I wrote them all down! I ended up going the other day, I took 3 dulcolax every night for 3 nights...but it got the job done and I finally felt so much better. Just don't want to become laxative dependent so i am def. going to try these. PS-squatty potty?? That is hilarious, i have never heard of that, I am going to google it. Lord knows I could use all the help I can in the br... -
Thank you:) & I really do hope they fly off:)

I felt like this too! Even on purees, it wasn't until solids that I felt the restriction. I was feeling so good I just knew they had only taken half of my stomach! I even got really upset-Don't worry just be glad your doing so well! -

edamame is so good! and high in fiber but apparently still not fiber for me.... You know one thing I like to do is buy the frozen salad shrimp and then defrost some in a bowl of Water then eat them raw. Sounds weird but that's what i do when im too lazy to make something and hungry at the moment. -

I am the same 25 with looong flat boobs and tummy. It is depressing sometimes :/ -
I get this sometimes if I get up too fast, I think for me its from the low Cal intake. When I was a teenager I use to do the starve yourself diet basically and I used to pass out and 1 time I passed out at work and it was so ebarrassing! and it can be dangerous! Watch yourself

Low Bmi Questionnnnnn
letsdothis!!! replied to letsdothis!!!'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
BMI can definitely be misleading-for example my husbands BMI considers him overweight but he is all muscle and ripped lol. It doesn't account for muscle. But I am physically overweight and my bmi is quite accurate. My doctor has a scale that measures your lean body mass, fat, Water, etc. and I am or was about 44% body fat! So it really does vary on the person. But I would say if your BMI is THAT high(30-40), its probably not muscle. As far as weight, I needed to lose 98# to be considered a normal BMI and 113 to get to my personal goal weight. -

You hit the nail on the head-just paranoid that I went through this for just a portion of the weight loss. But hoping your right and things will keep moving. BTW- you look really good, 42? More like 32! -

That Is spectacular suegirl. I am contemplating doing a jump start diet where basically you go back to day 1 and start over-I think I'm going to do that. I may just only do it for a week or maybe even 2 I don't know but I'm going to start it on the 10th and then when I finish I will post back on here and let y'all know the results. -
Low Bmi Questionnnnnn
letsdothis!!! replied to letsdothis!!!'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am happy to have lost 30# just seems like it is going soooo slowly, I don't want it to come to a hault. 25 in 6 weeks is totally different than 30 in 12, I would be happy with that too. I am happy with my sleeve and have no regrets yet, but with the 5 to 7 pound weight loss the past 2 months that scares me esp if your weight loss slows down after 6 months. -
First Major Stall
letsdothis!!! replied to kmbrlycool's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Even though it may have high protein I would make sure that ensure dosnt have a lot of carbs-that may be it -
First Major Stall
letsdothis!!! replied to kmbrlycool's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told 90-100g of protein. My surgeon measures our lean body mass and we divide that # by 2 and than times that number by 1.5 and that is supposed to be your protein #. For example, my LBM is 120 so 120/2 is 60 and than 60*1.5 is 90. But it is hard for me to get that in every day. -

I am totally thinking about doing a 2 week jump start also! I am 10 weeks out and have only lost 25 pounds. 17 in month one and 7 in month 2 and then one this month, i also had surgery on July 3rd. I am just so siiick of Protein shakes I just don't think I could tolerate it:/ But i really don't know why my weight loss is so very slow, if this is the prime time to be losing, imagine how slow it will be in the future:( -
