Might be kind of fun to see what others are striving for in 2013 (assuming we make it past this Friday ) lol 1.) I want to be 100lbs lighter starting the New Year, which means I have 12# to drop in exactly 2 weeks! Lofty, but it's what I want! 2.) Do a 5k every month, and towards the end of the year do a sprint-triathlon 3.) Build my muscles back 4.) Hit my goal weight 5.) Never look back on the unhealthy habits I developed!!!! 6.) The BIGGEST one of all... I want to learn how to two-step!!! It looks like fun, and it's all they do at bars in Fort Worth! haha

Three Months Out & Now the Real Work is Beginning
Donny replied to PJ_Sleeve's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I refuse to go to the gym in the morning haha! I can barely drag myself out of bed for work let alone a workout! What I do is bring my gym bag with me to work everyday and I go straight after work. If I go home I wouldn't be able to get the motivation to go! -
I'm nervous for this next month though! Everyone says the weight fly's off the first 3 months then it gets a lot harder. I don't like the idea of only having 1 mo. left!
-
Thanks for all the awesome comments! Apparently I'm looking good! I couldn't have done any of this without all the amazing people on here! Everyone has been so helpful and supportive and I can't wait to get to goal!

Lol I have the hoop earrings! That style got good reviews at the bar last weekend!

Gotta rock the “Bro-Zilian”, crack, and back wax! I just will never admit that again if any of y'all run into me in public!
-
Haha, thanks y'all! I'm feeling great!

Weight Loss pics from my highest 699 to 540! 4 Months Post-Op
Donny replied to Patrick Curl's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Keep on trucking! 135 in 4 months is crazy! -
Isopure non flavored in a whey powder. I use it with crystal light. At your point I got a minimum of 40g a day because that is how much is in the clear isopures. I would always try for 60 though.

I kept to myself for the first 4 weeks after surgery. I just wanted to be by myself and recover. I also wanted to reach mushies so I could eat at places they went.

What is your definition of feeling full?
Donny replied to taffyscorner76's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved the same day and have the same experiences. For me a few rounds of awful slimming and feeling like im going to hurl help you keep in check. Measuring food helps, but I try to work the eyeball system as well then measure to see how close I am. Its a bit unrealistic to rely on measuring everything in the real world. Unless you carry around one of those little drug dealer scales from the TV shows! -
The Five Biggist Changes Since My Surgery Are.......
Donny replied to mendymayhem's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
1. I went from spending way too much money on food and booze to spending way too much at the mall 2. I don't run from pictures anymore. And I got rid of my I need to be standing when I take a picture rule. 3. I feel comfortable working out at the gym and not shy/embarassed 4. I keep needing to reprogram the seat setting in my car because I sit too far back 5. I don't get bummed when doing laundry and folding huge pants and shirts that a child could use as a parachute! ( I went shopping yesterday and looked at the waist diameter on a pair of 38 jeans and laughed... So I bought them... They fit me when I tried them on at home.) As far as the stalls. I have been sleeved since 10/22 (not even 2 months) and am in my 3rd wicked stall. Super downer. But my work clothes prior were 3-4xl shirts and 48 pants. Today I walked out the door in an XL button up and 40 dress slacks. Believe me, I would love to see the scale move more! But just remember that people see the inches lost, not the number on the scale! -
Advice Please. 6 months Until Surgery
Donny replied to lolo1994's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Getting used to the new healthy way of living was key for me. I started having 2 protein shakes a day and slowly working myself off the bad foods. That way the pre and post op diet were a breeze because I already had shakes I liked and was use to having them daily. Also like they said, get comfortable with only drinking water & crystal light. Get rid of all the sodas/ sweet tea/ caffeine now. I was a smoker that ate fast food for every meal and drank a TON of soda at work everyday. I needed that time to rid myself of all the bad habits I had. My surgery has been a breeze, I don't get cravings for bad foods or cigs because I invested the time before the surgery. Good luck! And we are all here to help! -
Keep it simple but tell the truth. Your not happy with where your relationship/life is and you need to change it so you can be happy. Or you could move all your stuff out and email him the link to this thread!

I too agree. I will say when I was 23 I was living with a girlfriend and was ready to propose to her even though I had this weird sense of doubt. Turns out I packed up all my stuff and moved to the other side of the country (job offer). I have been here for two years and I have never been happier. Turns out my life with her in it was miserable and I just had blinders on. Follow your heart. We're young and have too much life ahead of us to waste time now!

I'm also 7 weeks out and I'm into my third one. It sucks. I get 60+ grams of protein, all my water, and stay around 700 cals. I have gone from a 48 jean to a 40-38 and my 3xl shirts that were snug to xl. I know I'm shrinking but I have bounced between 300.4 and 302 for the last week. I just want the scale to start with a 2! I have lost 45# since surgery.

1. Clothes that are stylish, that can't be used as a parachute 2. A NYE kiss 3. I can't wait to surprise everyone that doesn't know I lost weight. 4. Many more healthy & happy Christmas's

Approved but now NOT SURE
Donny replied to Jessica9190's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congrats and good luck tomorrow! It's fun watching yourself magically disappear in front of the mirror! I just realized at the gym today that I have turned into "that guy", you know, the one that just stares at himself in the big gym mirrors lol -
I'm 7 weeks out too! I'm always down for an Austin trip! If anyone can organize something fun I would cruze down.
-
A roll is usually 6-8 pieces no worries!
-
I love Austin, I wish I lived there! I am greatly going to miss 6th St. with this whole no more drinking thing Halloween will never be the same without it!

PPI is just an acid reducer like prilosec but i got a prescription version, it calms the stomach rumbles. I was never told to take iron and it didn't show up bad on my labs? And I don't take biotin, there's no help for the wicked case of male pattern baldness i have been rocking the last few years!
