congrats what an inspiration. I just got banded may 23 I have yet to have a fill. I have gone from 217 to 189 in three weeks however for the last week and a half I have not lost anything thank for your story it made me realize I need to start excircizing. -
I'll join in. Banded May 23,2012 Starting weight 217 Current weight 189 August 31 goal 180 December 31 goal 150 Long term goal is 125 Still new to the lapband so if I find my goals to be a little unrealstic I may adjust them but at the same time I want something to strive for. I also havent talked with my doctor yet about a good weight loss goal so that may change.

Okay I know everyone is diffrent but I just had surgery 2 weeks and 3 days ago. I have lost 21 lbs since then buy sticking to my doctors post op plan. When I asked him about a fill he said he didnt want to put a fill in as long as I am loosing wait but I feel as if I dont get a fill I will fail. Because even though Im following the 500- 600 calories I am still hungry. So my question is has anyone elses doctor said this. Of course Im loosing wait I mean I am burning more than that on the eliptical but I know this isnt head hunger like he thinks. Ive never been a snacker or ate late at night it was my portion size I would eat more than my husband. Please help any input would be greatly appteciated.

Just remember any weight loss is good and its not who gets to the finish line first that counts its getting their. Somthing I'm constantly trying to remind my self. I talked to my doctor and he said what Im feeling is just head hunger but man is it frustrating. Hope you get to the green zone real soon

Okay so I had the lap-band on the 5/23/12, so a little over two week. I had severly bad athma I was on advair 500/50 plus another steroid inhaler plus nasonex plus rescue inhaler plus my nebulizer. I also had really bad sleep apnia. since surgery I have not used any of my athma medication. I've gone from 217 to 197 in two weeks. When I first started using the eliptical I could only use it for 5 mins and the other day I was on for a whole hour. I love this tool and it has not been easy but am following doctors orders. I still have along way to go but for the first time their light at the other end of the tunnel. I no longer live on my nebulizer and am so excited for this journey.

This is what my day looks like breakfast: one egg or yogart snack: string cheese Lunch: yogart or a protien shake with water. dinner: half can of soup or two crackers with a half cup milk. I'm not sure if Im getting enough protien. I dont have a digital scale but I will deffinatly pick one up. Thank you to for your help
-
Thank you guys for all your help and support

Thank you, I guess I've done the yo-yo thing so much I'm just stressing. Last year I had went from 236 to 148 drinking protien shakes only and as soon as I stopped I got started gaining quicker than I lost it. Went back up to 217 before I decided to get the lap-band.

Thank you. Your information was very helpful. I will talk to my doctor about increasing my calories. It's not so much that I'm in a rush to be filled before I'm healed it's just I dont understand why my doctor doesnt want to fill once Im healed if Im loosing weight but I think I understand now. So their are people who never need fills? I guess I'm just so affraid to fail. Thank you so much any help is greatly appreciated and I will deffinatly talk to my doctor about incresing my calorie intake a little.

Thank you. I feel this forum has really helped keep me motivated and educated me on what to expect. Being as though I have no restriction yet, I go on here evertime I'm hungry which is all the time lol. My doctor has me on about 500 cals a day.
