  1. Hey everyone! I was on here a couple of weeks ago and I came across a post that had the name of an awesome WLS book that also acted like a workbook but I cant find the post. I just bought "WLS for Dummies" but was hoping to find that workbook type resource book or any other suggestions you guys may have! I really appreciate it! Thank u!
  2. Ey everyone. I have an iPad and iPhone. Does anyone know a good app to help me track my food? What is it 700-800 cals a day? Im day 7 post op. are we supposed to be even taking calories into account? Lemme give ya a run down of what ive eaten so far: 1) Top ramen broth x 3/ day (its easy for me to get like 2 cups of liquid down at a time. Im worried its alot) 2) hot chocolate 3) milk tea 4) 2 popsicles 5) im sucking on hard candy. Is that ok? Also, does anyone know any good bariatric workbooks for postop? Or food addiction workbooks/sites? Thanks guys!!! Really appreciate it!!

    My dietician sed something bout my stomach being full and it backs up into my esophagus but i dont know.. I think im gonna have a hard time transitioning to softs:( makes me sad.

  12. This is currently my daily motivation. The dotted line is the projected weight loss progress someone without VSG would probably have if they were dieting and working out. The solid line is my actual progress. I've got to say, im very happy. There are you few setbacks however, such as the other day I only lost 0.3 lbs and since yesterday I lost 1.2 lbs. i know im not supposed to weight myself everyday but im an inpatient person. Im still on liquids so im excited to see how ill progress once i can have soft foods bc im sorry, Protein shakes are disgusting and i love fish, mostly sashimi. Also, I bought a hot pink sketchbook and put pictures of HEALTHY bodies from workout magazines, and clothes that i have never been able to fit (so excited), and Im going to use it as a journal to get me psychologically ready, as ready as can be with other ancillary program, for the weightloss. I also put motivational before and after pictures of women from the magazines too. Not the famous people, real people, real women:) All in all, im very proud of myself:) Im endeavor to be an inspiration to my mom and dad to finally eat right and workout bc i want them around as long as God will allow:) How about you guys?

    Ive been counting the water with my teas or if i dilute a shake. OOoOo and the water i make my broths with and such.
  14. Ok, so im trying to get only like 20-30g of carbs for weight loss and about 70 g of Protein. But im on the post op full liquids diet. But im only on Breakfast and i have a miniscule amount of carbs left. I cant find anything to help but my protein but still keep my carbs low. Ugh. Annoyed. Anyone have any suggestions? I based by protein, fat, and protein intake based on kaisers bariatric nutrition plan.

    Really quick, is this ok? I know were not supposed to have ice cream but the nutritional label is so convincing! Plus ... MMmMM.. I remember these r delicious! And oOoO guys look at the net carb, sugar, and Protein content! Is it just me? Or is my mouth waterig?!? Hahhah i was thinking about melting it a little and pouring flavorless Protein powder into this baby!

    Is egg nog ok? Has anyone tried to drink this? I didnt use cream or alcohol. 1 raw egg 1 pkt Truvia 1 cup Lucerne Original Light Soymilk 1/4 - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1- 2 sprinkles of cinnamon or nutmeg 300 ml total= Four 75 ml servings its not as thick as Protein drinks but i dont know why it kinda hurts (my back) as it goes down. Maybe i should add Water or something. My dietitian is supposed to call me tomorrow morning for a phone appt. so ill chill it for now and ask tomorrow. Next time ill have to try: Unsweetened plain soymilk Ice / water Use a blender. Drops of vanilla extract

    Paleo Diet!

    Anyone with me? I've been really reading up on it and it sounds really good to me. Getting Protein from food instead of shakes. I'm trying to prepare myself for it still because I'm still on liquids for one more week. If you're reading this and you're kind of not in the know about it like I was a week ago, here's a great link that i found : books on iTunes and at www.barnesandnoble.com. So if you'd like a list of resources let me know. Omg! By the ay, they have this cookbook called The Paleo Diet Cookbook: Comfort Foods... All i can say is im pretty juiced to use all these recipes.

    haha. ME TOO!! My dad fishes every day. Steamed fish galore! Plus, we like costco, and like I said, my house is a slaughter house. meat and fish everyday. its a staple of filipino food. I'm buying sashimi grade fish wholesale, so I'm so excited. Besides we only are able to stomach a few ounces anyways. So I can buy a whole slab of sashimi and it can last up to 9 or 10 days in the freezer.
  20. My birthday is 11/18. Last year I WOULD NOT celebrate because of my size. First time ever to not celebrate. depression. I cant wait to be smaller by then! YAY for VSG!
