My banding is going better than I could have ever imagined!! I'm never hungry, I'm able to eat small amounts with no problems . . . no reflux, no vomitting, everything is fab. My weight loss started out slow but as of last week it just started falling off, fast! I'm doing so well, I think I'll put off my first fill until I hit my first plataue. Why fix it if it's not broken, right!?! I know it's not good to lose too fast, so I'm not taking any chances. Good news, I went in to Dr. Rodriguez for a check up ~ (two weeks out from surgery), I wasn't feeling the 'restriction' I kept hearing about, so since I vomited twice the night of surgery, I was concerened about slippage. He saw me this morning and everything looks great, I guess that feeling will come with my first fill?! I was banded on monday too, my incesions were just covered with gauze and medical tape, however, they were glued. I removed my bandages on Thursday morning and they are great, clean, smooth and no weeping.

I was banded on monday as well,~ it went great. I started taking 1 gas-x strip before my 'meals' but it didn't help much, then someone told me I could take up to 3, so I tried two and man what a difference. I am due to be banded on March 19, 2007 by Dr. Jose Rodrigez. I can hardly wait. I have been heavy to obese ever since I had my two children over 20 years ago. I have yoyoed myself to 233 lbs. and I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. My knee feels like I played pro ball for 20 years, I take high blood pressure medicine, I have zero energy which makes it hard to enjoy life. Let's do this once and for all! I will be banded in a few weeks and I'm not afraid to say . . . I'm just a little nervous. However, I am even more excited. I am 42, 5' 4", and 233 pounds. Any advice or support would be greatly appreciated and I will promise to pay it forward when the time comes. Thanks
