Sula, I had intended to start the 5 day pouch test on Monday, but didn't. I would love to do that next Monday. If you decide you want to try it maybe we can do it together and help each other thru it! Sunshine I hope all goes well with your next fill! Debbie banded 1/8/07 h235/c161/g145

Sunshine, Hang in there. Before Christmas I wanted a slight fill I was already at 4.0 they tried to give me only .2cc's and I didn't even make it out of the office. My cup of water stuck in my throat. So I guess I will be at 4.0 for while. Although I don't feel alot of restriction. I do know that it is there. A few weeks ago I guess I had gotten a little relaxed in my eating and was not chewing my food as carefully (that day for some reason I guess I had great restriction) I pb'd on part of a meatball and this lasted 2 1/2 hours before it stopped and the very very very small piece came up. I do nails and I was running back and forth to the bathroom for that period of time and trying also to keep up with my customers. Needless to say I think the stress of it all made things much worse. All this to say that maybe 3.9cc's would be a huge difference than 3.8cc's it's so hard to tell! I thought I really had know restriction, but I guess I have more than I realized. I'm now content with my 4.0. I hope you get your restriction back soon I know how frustrating it can be, but you are doing great! Debbie banded 1/8/07 h235/c161/g145

Okay this message might show twice I'm not quite sure what I just did, but I typed in a message and it went somewhere but I'm not sure where! Strange!! Thanks everyone for your reply on insurance carriers covering fills. I need to check with my carrier, I have Blue Cross. They cover weightloss surgery if you meet their requirements, but I did not because I had know health problems related to being overweight (yet). Everyone keep up the good work!! Cindi, Hi I'm Debbie, I don't post often but do read posts daily! I saw you were self pay, (so am I) and noticed that you said your fills are now being paid by your ins carrier. Who is your ins carrier? I've not had to pay for any fills the 1st year, but now that I have gone past that first 12 mo period I'll have to start paying. Debbie banded 1/8/07 235h/161c/145g

Sunshine, You sound just like me, I went 11/12 for a slight fill. I'm already at 4cc in a 4cc band the doc was giving me .2cc more asked me to swallow a cup of Water and asked if it went down. I sat there a minute and was trying to decide if I was going to tell the truth when they asked if it was stuck in my throat. I felt like I had been caught and had to tell the truth then. So I admitted that it did feel a little stuck lol. They immediately took it back out they said if they left it I would even have trouble with liquids and no solids would pass. But just as you said I feel like I can take regular bites of food and it goes down. Although I have noticed since the fill attempt I do have more restriction, which they said was not unheard of. I have really been trying to work on my head, I think sometimes it is a head game. If I really think and eat slow I can feel the restriction and do realize that there is restriction that wasn't there preband. It's nice to see that someone else out there has had there 4cc band so full. Good luck and keep up the good work! You have do great! Debbie banded 1/8/06 h235/c163/g145

Hey everyone, I haven't posted in a long time but I'm always on here reading. It sounds like everyone is doing very well! A lot of great successes. I've been having major cravings lately, mostly sweets, they have been getting the best of me. My daughter finally emptied everything tempting out of the house while at was at work today, I was so thankful. I wanted to find out more about quickslim 30 and where you can get it, any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. banded 1-8-07 h235/c165/g145

I haven't posted in a while, but I'm in the same boat. I haven't been losing like I should, but my choices haven't been great. I'd also like to know if anyone has a good quick start suggestion. I still love my band!! I think I've just picked up some bad eating habits again. Debbie banded 1/8/07 h235/c165/g145

Hey 5jacks, I have been getting them while I'm eating. It may really be when I'm full, I haven't thought about that. Although a couple of times I noticed it was when I ate something spicey and it was after about 3 bites. It's wierd. Thanks for the input I'm sure your right, the tank is full! Tonya, I do mostly protien, that's what my dr has said to do and if you are still hungery add a green veggie. I try to stick with that but sometimes it gets boring. I thing I'm going to need a tummy tuck when I've lost all my weight, I've been pricing them. A friend of mine at work just had one and I can't wait to see her, she had lapband surgery a year and a half ago. Has anyone had the hiccups often? Since my last fill I seem to get the hiccups and I wasn't sure if it was something I was doing or what. I was also wondering if it could make your band slip. Debbie Banded 1/8/07 h235/c165/g145

Tonya, I haven't posted anything in awhile, but I couldn't resist tonight. Your pictures are amazing!! I can tell a huge difference in your stomach (that's so great), you look like you've lost a lot in your back too! I'm having trouble with the stomach, I guess after 4 kids in five years, 1 c section and a hystorectomy it just takes time. If you've got any great tips for toning your stomach let me know. Also thanks for posting the cottage test, have you tried it yet. Can't wait to try it, I'm curious to know if my pouch has changed any. I wonder how easily it does change? Have fun on your cruise! Hey Audree, I had my surgery on the 8th, so it may have been a different Debbie. Do you know where she was from? I'm from Nashville, TN. Anyway glad your feeling restriction, I am too, I think for the first time. Talk to you later. Debbie Banded 1/8/07 235h/168c/140g

Hey Audree, it's Debbie you look great! It's nice to see how everyone is doing. Hope you do well with your fill, I'm hoping my restriction stays a while this time. I think when I am doing well with my exercise it also helps me not be as hungery. Sometimes I think the hunger is in my mind, I guess that just takes a while to overcome. Nice to talk to you. Good luck! Debbie Banded 1/8/07 235h/168c/140g

Tonya, Thanks for the info on Body for life, I'm going to check it out. About your last fill, sometimes I think they are just strange. I went Monday for my 6 mo appt and I told the doctor that I didn't feel like I had any restriction. He did a complete unfill and he could only draw out 3.8 cc's and there should have been 4.1cc's. He said that sometimes it diffuses, I never really understood what he meant, but he assured me everything is okay. He then filled me back to only 4.0 cc's and I couldn't believe it but now I fill more restriction than I have since just after surgery. It is actually hard to swallow my protien shake and I have never had trouble with that. Seem's strange to me though because 3 months ago I was suppose to have been at 4.1 and never had the restriction that I now do at 4.0. Hope everything is okay with your band! Just thought I'd share my experience with you. Debbie Banded 1/8/07 4cc band 235 h/170 c/140 g

I was banded on 1/8/07 and I've currently lost 65 pounds, but I seemed to have stalled were I am. I've been exercising alot, but am always looking for something good. Thanks! Debbie replied to tonya66's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hey, I didn't do good with my exercise this weekend, but I've started back this morning. I bought a dance game for my sons play station, it has a workout mode and I did it for 1 1/2 hours this morning. It kind of changes things up. I'm still waiting on my jazzercise dvd, hope it comes soon. Later today I'm going to walk on my treadmill for 30 mins. Good Luck this week everyone! Debbie -

Debbie replied to tonya66's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi, Please add me to the excerise challenge, I was banded 1/8/07. My goal is to walk on my treadmill 30 min 5x a week. So far all I'm doing is about 20-25 mins a day. I use to do jazzercise and I just ordered a jazzercise dvd. Hope it comes soon, it's a great workout. When I get it I will probably alternate. Hi, My name is Debbie, I was banded in January. I've been reading posts since before I was banded. This is a great forum, I have learned so much. And it has been great help and encouragement. So I'm a little slow, but I finally decided to register. I was banded in Nashville, TN by Dr. Charles Morton. My highest weight was 235, I'm at 195 currently.

Hi, I'm Debbie, I was banded on 1/8/07. I just register to this forum last night, but I've been reading all the great info since 12/06. I would love to be a part of an exercise challenge. I have been more hungry the last two weeks than I have been since I was banded. I've noticed that on the days I exercise my hunger is in control a lot better. The nurse at my doctors office suggested eating more protien on the days that I'm having a problem, she said I shouldn't gain eating protien even if it's more than the 1/2 cup they recommend. This really makes me nervous to eat more, I so afraid that I will start to gain! Banded 1/08/07 Starting Weight 235 Current Weight 195 Banded by Dr. Morton in Nashville, Tn
