  1. I bought some toddler bowls and spoons. I measure out everything. 1/3 cup is about my limit right now bur putting it in that small bowl helps. Eating is really a chore for me right now.

    Constipation

I am a pharmacist, so I have tried everything mentioned. Miralax has just never ever worked for me, even pre op. Dulcolax does the trick, but it is not a good idea to take a laxative like that all the time. I haven't tried any fiber supplements post op, but I Did during my first pregnancy and it was not pleasant.....tons of bloating. I think I will try fiber again. It's sort of funny I have this issue because I have spent many years on advising people on how to relieve constipation. I took a probiotic for 30'days straight several months back, I didn't notice any improvements in my digestive health either..lol.
  3. I got financing through E-Medical Loans. No interest for 12 months. it was very easy to get approved. Just for the record.......whichever doctor you choose, and there are several good ones, the Marriott was VERY nice. Sleeved July 2 by Dr. Garcia and stayed at the Marriott post op and was very comfortable. The staff at the Marriott are familiar with why we are there and make every effort to be helpful and accommodating.

    Just Sleeved In Mexico

Definitely agree! anything you hear about Tijuana being dangerous is absurd. Just like any city u were going to visit u wouldn't wander off into the unknown and Tijuana is no different. I felt safe and secure. The Marriott was a dream. Sleeved by Dr. Garcia at Mi Doctor and the care was exceptional! If u are having any doubts about traveling to Mexico......Relax. It is a huge and personal decision but I have not regretted my decision yet. I will be 6 weeks post op tomorrow.....down 31 lbs!

Anyone Else Like This At This Stage?

unjury powder tastes good. I mix mine in soy milk. I am growing weary of the shake drinking as well. Unjury makes an unflavored Protein Powder that I have used a lot lately. I add it to everything I eat. if you order it and are not pleased with it they will let u return it, even if the canister is opened. Good luck. I feel your pain.
  6. I Have always been a big water drinker. I could gulp a 16 oz in a couple of minutes. Now, at 5 weeks post op, I can't stand it. I have tried filtered, bottled, tap and it all tastes horrible. It has gradually gotten worse. It's better if I add lemon or a crystal light flavor but I find some of those leave me even more thirsty. Has anyone else experienced this?
  7. I don't know what is wrong with me. I am tired of my stomach growling/gurgling. Tired of protein shakes (and milk breath) and tired of no drinking and eating. I cannot get even 1/4 of my fluid intake most days. Are hormonal changes normal at this time because right now I am very emotional, discouraged and ready for my life to seem normal again. Sniff sniff. I have cried almost all day.
  8. Thanks everyone form your encouraging thoughts and posts. This too shall pass. I am going to the beach in 2 weeks and hope I will be tolerating things better. I am very thankful for the support I get here and I am very pleased with the 23 pounds I have lost. I am meeting with a counselor soon as well. It all just hit me like a ton of bricks today. It's not like I really have much of a support system otherwise. My kids are 15 and 9 and they just want to eat what they are used to having. My husband decided he would diet as well and is doing INSANITY and I guess I am feeling like this should be about me right now. Not him.
  9. I am so frazzled I didn't realize it was in my topic. just crazy.
  10. see, I am so frazzled I didn't even realize I had put it in my topic.
  11. I forgot to mention I am almost 3 weeks post op.

    Sleeved July 9Th

Yes, we will return to normal. I am 17 days post op and have wondered the same thing. I miss food. As you tolerate more and move into the different phases you will see. At day 17 post op, the pain I'df drinking water is practically gone! Huge milestone......but it is all baby steps. Hang in there. Each day reveals something new.
