You will be given a reference book at your preop appointment so no need to be worried. But I can tell you that Week one is clear liquids; broths, crystal light, teas, jello, etc. Week 2 is same as 1 plus your protein shakes, cloudy soups (creamy soups), sugarfree pudding, etc. Week 3 is when you start your pureed food; Cant wait.. today is day 6 post opt and ready for some creamy soups I might cheat tonight. I feel great!

I was sleeved the 29th and I have yet to take any pain meds! Today when I showered I changed my wound dressings and to my suprise my wounds were larger than I thought! I have no pain at all though! Had nausea the first and second day after surgery but once I got thru that I am good, I sleep on my stomach and have been sleeping on my side/stomach since day 2! My back hurts sleeping on it... I am sorry for all you who are hurting! Things will get better for sure! I was scared that I would be in pain since I've been reading alot of it here but glad to share I have touched any pain meds - only took nausea meds the first two days - I am doing great now! Keep up to good work all!

I have several reasons ; 1. Being coorporate america limitations for the obese, if you ain cute and skinny you wont get the correct opportinities no matter if the whole office talks about how great and smart you are. 2. Being I am 29, no kids due to PCOS and married for 1 year, have always dreamed of at least being pregnant with my first at 30 yrs old! 3. Just feeling better bout what I look like, I am the youngest of 3 sisters and have always been the smallest - all of a sudden these past 4 years moving to Texas has put a toll on me - not sure if it's homesickness or what but I've gained 40lbs in the past 4 yrs, never been small but never over 200lbs... Still need to be closer to 150, i am 3rd day post opt at 239# have los 15 since preop

I have ordered Unjury chicken soup and unflavored but it's been like 4 days already and havent received it... i didnt get options for shipping! Today is day 3.. I am walking just fine havent taken ANY pain meds.. oh and yesterday I bot SOBE Zero yumberry pomogrante and it's delicious .. still not getting ANY Protein in... cant wait until monday to call my doc and see if i can try some milk - i think i will try some today anyways...

Hiii today is day 2 post opt, i have to say that day1 was really bad, I had a hernia repaired myself but honestly I am doung well without my pain meds, my incisions dont hurt just a lil discomfort with is normal - for me its nausia - i am doing better today, starting to count my ozes of crydtal light, what else are you drinking? I already know I cant deink isopure cuz its nasty I will vomit so I am alil scared cuz I wont get any protien from crystal light or popsciles ... Suggestions?

yayy, nervous and excited at the same time. Heading to Wise Regional in Decature in the next 4 hours, sugery is scheduled for 3:30pm today for me. Have a dry mouth!... but I will get over it! Wish me luck all, prayers, all will go great! Cant wait!!

Nice! I cant wait, tomorrow is surgery! I am nervous but excited... Can anyone tell me what I will be drinking the first 7 days post surgery? I will be staying with mother and need to get all my food over there tonight.. Thanks all!

Hiii there! I am 5'2 myself and weighed 254 day I started liquid diet (friday 23rd) down to 247 rightnow and surgery is Thursday the 29th... Good luck with weightloss!!

My surgery is thursday... Cant wait, been doing well on liquids... Luckily just one week of liquids for me... Keep on everyone!!! Good luck to all!!

Are you mixing your shakes with water or skim milk? Because the firs time I tried drinking my shake I mixed it with water and i couldnt drink it... Now i only have 4 shakes a day since I mix it with skim milk... And to be honest I am not even drinking 4 since I run out of time... ive been drinking more like three and one cup of chicken broth- and trust me- not hungry one bit... You really should stick to the diet because your surgery is around the corner and you wint have a choice then...

Greetings all, glad am not the only one wit so many questions. I had my 1st visit with Dr. Kim on 05/09... I am trying to go thru my insurance which requires a 6 month nutrion program (which I have already scheduled thru Dr Kim's office)... I am having a sleep study done on June 1st and need a Psych evaluation thru my insurance as well. (United Health) Good news for me is I have met all of my deductibles (had gall bladder removed in feb 12) and I dont have any major issues but my employer doesnt require me to just to be BMI over 40 which I am (bmi 43) ... I am a little hesistant about my choice for a surgeon DR KIM .. I have a small window November - December for him to do my surgery ... and for his team to get my approval in time for surgery no later than this December... am just scared... Any suggestions?
