Hello!
I would love to hear what different folks are "eating" at 4-5 weeks out? I have realized that all Dr's advise differently, and would love to find out what folks are doing, or what they did, if they can remember.. It seems all my local friends have blocked this whole stage out! lol.
Thank you so much for your help!
Hang in there, I stalled at 48 lbs for 2 weeks and now at 58 pounds...I think it's normal. I helped me to realize this isn't supposed to be an 'overnight' fix, but a journey to getting to a healthy weight and learning new sustainable habits...try to just plan on it taking a year and enjoy the small changes in your day to day life. Just some thoughts that help me, I was sleeved on June 4th.. Good luck with your journey!

We who eat a high Protein diet are aware of the effects. Now we know more about the mechanics of it. What's even better is that signaling satiety is just one benefit of protein.

Today is my 3 month mark, I've lost 50.9 lbs and for the 1st time ever I bought and successfully wore a pair of SIlver brand jeans. My friends and family are sick of my talking about myself but I'm just so flipping happy! Never thought anything like this would happen for me. It's a good day.
My new favorite quick snack meal:
Canned chicken mixed with buffalo wing sauce and low fat blue cheese. Zap it in the microwave for 20 seconds-soooo good!
I thought I would share this with those of you that need Protein drinks and different options :crying:
I had this emailed to me a long time ago, and while cleaning out my inbox of the 2000 emails I stumbled across it again. I do not know the original author/creator/inventor or I would give proper credit.

I'm just 1 week post op today, and having a very hard time! I keep thinking about a cheeseburger and fries, keep saying "why did I do this to myself" ! I'm so hungry! I just say do alot of research and this group is Awesome!!!
Problem with letters and emails of particularly long length that do not up front designate the business at hand can be argued that they were dismissed as possibly harassing correspondence - you are not obliged to read a long displeased ocrrespondence on the possibility there is something relevant tucked away within...
I am so very not trying to be discouraging! Just explaining a few things I have learned from myself over the years.
Good luck.
PS - the hospital your surgery was done at may very well have enough of your information that you need never deal with this doctor again.
Take a deep breath.... and let all of this stuff go!!! It will work, you will lose the weight!!! We have to take things one day at a time and utilize our sleeves to the fullest!!! Sometimes changing up our eating, exercise, increasing our Water is what it takes to cause an end to the dreaded stall.. Try one of those things for a week until you find out what's working for you this time.. Our bodies are ever changing and what works this week, may not work next week or next month... Stress is counterproductive... so, breath and WORK YOUR SLEEVE!! You can do it!!!
First 1-1/2 - 2 weeks after surgery, my program wants us to be drinking Isopure and Water, we don't even move to full liquids (like Protein Shakes, cream of wheat until after 10 days). I was told it will be approximately 5-6 weeks before you are on solids. I think any type of juice, except something like Gatorade if you are having a problem with dehydration, which isn't good for you either. Try sticking with higher Protein Drinks like an isopure for a while until your stomach can handle liquids.
I am on day 5 of my 2 week liquid diet. It has not been fun, BUT it can be done. Drink a lot of Atkins shakes (i do 3 a day) that helps fill you up, and a lot of liquids you like ( all SF) and of course broth. I am prone to low sugar too, it seems to regulate if you take in something regularly, and i drink a lot!! Good luck, it' worth hanging in there, I am down 8.5 lbs in 4 days.
