Onow by next year I will need some type of breast surgery. I am a DD, but am losing volume and gravity taking its toll already. I have seen and heard horror stories. My sleevevsurgeon said wait a full year and there are many tecniques. He said most have a reduction with a small implant vs a lift. Ideas and experiences are greatly appreciated! I am in SE La. My Sleeve surgeon was Dr. Mark Dominguez partner of Dr. Ordyne at Northlake Surgical with St. Tammamy Hospital in Covington, La. He is FABULOUS. Thanks!

Sleeve done Fri May 11th, 2012 by Dr. Mark Dominguez in Louisiana. So far all is well and much better than I anticipated, so I could not be more pleased. I was 240 at time of surgery and have 100 pounds to lose to get to goal. Last Summer I weighed about 275 and felt horrible. Through doctor visits and tests learned I am insulin resistant and began my own lifestyle changes resulting in some weight loss. This along with high blood pressure, asthma and other health risks led me to the sleeve. I can see already, this was a wise choice. Reading through posts on this forum helped me to prepare. Hopefully my experiences, help someone else.

Excellent!!! i am so happy for you. Will be thinking about you. May you have a comfortable experience. Use that pump and take the nausea meds. Walk as soon as you can to release surgery gas. The worst was getting gas and anesthia out of my system. It has been nothing but great since then. I have now lost over 55 pounds since last year, and 25 of those came off post surgery which was a month ago. it feels nice to geel great if you know what i mean. : ) Again, so happy for you and you must be so excited to take this important step to a healthier you. Glad everything went well. They pumped us up with gas that has to come out one of two ends. It took mine a few days to all come out. Then I stopped all pain meds day 3 post op so I could feel what was going on. I felt like I had been kicked in the gut and yes I was tender around the incisions and do recall holding my belly when laughing. Guess we all feel pain a little differently and to different degrees. If that is your only discomfort and you are not experiencing any of the warning signs for infection or leaking, then sounds like you are right on track. It gets better every day. Keep walking, don't exhaust yourself or pick up anything heavier than a gallon of milk which is 8 pounds. Sip very slowly. Yay you!!!!!In a week you will feel like a new person, if not sooner! Thoughts and prayers with all the slevvers today. I woll be sending positive enery your way today and for the next few days. At day 24 post op,IF you follow post op care instructions, the worst was the first night coming off anesthia and getting the gas out. Walk a little asap for the surgical gas. Push the button for pain. In 3-4 you will already feel the new you! Look forward to hearing from you! Sent from my iPad using VST

Gosh, so sorry to hear that and what an emotional ordeal for you on multiple levels. Good thing you have a cautious surgeon. I hope the tests prove the polyps are nothing to be concerned with and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Please remain optimistic : ) I am 24 days post op and today started to have cravings for a little food vs full liquids, a salad of all things! So far my will has been strong. The results are motivating, but I miss crunching on something. For now the V-8 will have to suffice. Well, let me know how things go for you. Take care. Sent from my iPad using VST

Will they let you wear a small stud? If not put it back in as soon as you wake up. Doubt if it will close in just a few hours. Sent from my iPad using VST

I woke up normal in room and had to get up and walk around the hospital, but who knows what I did or said in the recovery room. They knew I was concerned going in and said they have seen it all before, no worries. No one said anything to me and The last thing I remember is counting for the anesthesia. Boobs - Implants Without A Lift?
joybl replied to BlackBerryJuice's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
My sleeve surgeon said no plastics for at least a year. He said there are so many techniques and some that do not leave very much or noticible scars. He said most sleevers get a little reduction with small implant. No need for cutting around the back. I have heard and seen horror stories. The lift alone is bad. Other techniques better. Research.... -

I have lost almost 50 and find the serums help my face. People tell me I look younger. I use 100% pure cocomut oil on my body at least 1-2 times daily, so far so good. -
Best decision of my life. I am 3 weeks post op, no complications and minus 15-17 pounds. My asthma, high blood pressure and pre diabetes...all gone. I tried everything prior to the sleeve, lost only so much and gained all back plus. I am now down from 272 from the Fall to 225 and feel 20 years younger.

I get professional massages at least once a month. It helps detox the body, helps with healing, stress, circulation and just feels great. In the 60s, my mother's doctor told her to uses a wooden rolling pin, yep as in a kitchen tool. It will not help you lose weight but it helps with circulation and does smooth out those bumps. Roll away!
