I was having horrible reflux and had all the Fluid removed from my band. Today I went for a barium swallow, still waiting on the results. Dr. didn't see anything at the time, but will review the images. The past couple weeks I have had shoulder pain when I eat or drink. It isn't right away, but within 10 minutes of eating/drinking. Has anyone experienced this? What was the outcome? Thank you for your time 😁

I also went through a phase of losing hair.... Lasted for a couple months.... Haven't taken any additional supplements other then my daily Vitamin and the Hair loss stopped and it is starting to grow back... I did not lose enough hair to make it look like my hair was getting thinner.... Not sure if that's because I have very thick hair and A LOT of it or not.... Best of luck to you!

I go to the gym, but I am looking to incorporate some home workouts also to keep things exciting. I started doing a cardio Kickboxing DVD and am pleased with it, but looking for a couple more DVDs to add in. Anyone have any suggestions? I would appreciate any feedback! Thanks...

I went for my third fill today, and was very pleased when I stepped on the scale. 37 pounds gone in almost 3 months! I also used to wear a size 22/24 pant before surgery... This week I went to buy new pants, and was able to fit in a size 18 slim fit....
I just had to share.... Please share your success stories to help inspire me more!

For me, I had to stay overnight because once the nurse gave me pain meds orally I was extremely sick and couldn't even eat a popsicle without vomiting... So they wanted me to stay until I could hold down some liquid.... Trust me, I wanted to go home so bad the night of surgery but it definitely was worth me staying overnight!

Yay!! Congratulations.... Any mile stone is a great one.... But being as happy as you are cannot be replaced by anything!! Can't wait till I can share a success like this

Reading your post made me think.... I've lost 32lbs so far, maybe I can cross my legs... This morning, I sat on the bed to put my shoes on, and I could do it! Thank you for posting this.... Without it I may not have realized I could do it!!

Banded may 11th... First short term goal is to be at 233... Started at 273 so that would be a 40 lb weight loss... Am at 242 as of today... So only 9 more pounds.... Now I will need to think of a new short term goal...

My fiance and I have been together 14 years.... And when we started dating I was 150lbs.... Before surgery I was 273.... Between that time I gained and lost weight like a yo-yo.... I would lose 40 lbs and then gain 50 back... Many times we discussed my weight... He is a very honest person and won't lie to me to make me happy, so it crushed me the day he told me he wasn't "attracted" to me anymore.... Not that he didn't love me, but he worried more about my health then enjoyed looking at me. It wasn't really until that day I realized how large I had gotten.
When I decided to look into lapband he was 100% behind me... He even helped me research it... Would look into success/ fail ratios, what you need to do before, during, and after surgery and weight loss... Before I even walked into the Dr's office for my first consultation, I knew exactly what I was getting into and was very excited!
now 2 months after my surgery and 30 lbs gone, I have more confidence, feel sexier.... And the best thing is every day he tells me how much he is loving my new body... I believe that people are attracted by looks at the beginning... But after a period of time people are attracted to personaliti, and the physical you is just an added bonus.
As long as you are happy in your new body, you will give off the sense that you ARE sexy, and confident.... Even If you don't have as many curves.... And your husband will feed off of your attitude.... IMO...
Good luck with everything!! Hope this helped...

I see that some of you have your port on either the left or right side.... Mine is in the middle, right above my belly button... Not sure If that makes a difference?

LOL AS TMI as this was.... I laughed!I was at WalGreens once and someone stunk up the WHOLE back area by the bathrooms.... It was so bad people were gaging when they walked by!
Sure it wasn't my fiance??? He used to "fart" all the time... Only in the car or in the house... And it would stink SO SO SO BAD!!! I then found out he was buying stink bombs.... Still so mad about that... Lol

Definitely a huge step to decided for the surgery! Sure does feel good to do something for yourself right?
I had people saying similar things to me.. I remember a customer who came into my work and said "you have such pretty hair... If only you could get rid of all the fat"... I just wanted to run into a corner and cry...
I know right now you are feeling crappy now only a few days after surgery... I'm only 2 months out from my surgery and lost 30 lbs already! ... And all the naysayers are now saying "that's the best thing you have done for yourself!"... Makes me wanna smack some sense into them to not try to discourage people from doing what's best for them...
Good luck with your journey.... And you will have to keep us posted on your success!! :-)

I decided to get lap band because for my whole life I fought with weight issues.... Biggest issue was eating for emotional reasons.... If I was happy, I ate. If I was sad, I ate... And of course not healthy food! Not only did I want to be healthier, I also wanted to look better and have more confidence...
I looked in the mirror one day and couldn't believe what I was looking at.... A lost woman in a sea of fat.... I had to do something about it... Not knowing how my family would react to going through the process, I started going through it all alone... Finally decided I wouldn't be successful without the support of my family and fiance... So thankful for their support!
I spent 10 years of my life dancing and stooped when I was a teenager... After 15 years I decided I wanted to go back, but didn't feel comfortable enough to do it at my weight. When I finally committed myself to the Lap band journey, I went back to dancing... Definitely a huge motivator for me!!
now 2 months after surgery I feel so much more confident and starting to feel more comfortable in my skin!

I am addicted!!!
I started book 1 before my surgery and didn't pick it up for a few days but I finished it on Monday and started book 2! I finished book 2 today and started book 3!! WOW!!! Every woman needs to read these books! (and every man needs to take notes)
just sayin'
I read all 3 and waiting for another one( really hoping there is a 4th book)!! Other took me only 2 months to read all 3 ... I started reading the marriage bargain now and nowhere near as good, but still entertaining
