Honestly, my first reaction when out iof surgery was 'Why and what the heck did I do!?' i had bad nausea, back pain, was out of it. Until I was off all meds. But it passed, I was sore and really slow moving for 2 days, each day got better...It was no walk in the park...but with a great support team at home, I made it. I have only 1 regret- telling people I was having the band put it:) good luck too u!!

Didnt receive any "pre" fill Instruction. And it was a peice of cake. 1 got 4cc in my 10 cc band. they told me to do liquid/mush for a day. Which I did. Then things were back to normal food. It took a few days till I felt a little something, I Do feel a little more full now. Was banded aug 15th. Second fill November 6th. Good luck to u. I'm sure you'll do fine. Just follow your surgeons orders and if your not sure call them. That's what they're there for!!

Not that I'm an expert by any way shape or form. But what kind of calories are they? Protien and fiber are critical. And too few calories puts the body in starvation mode..even with excercise. Just my opinion. Good luck!!!

I Don't Get This About Drinking After Eating...
clarks4willie replied to Kellysue's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was told not to drink the 30 min before and after , to keep the nutrients in the stomach longer, AND to keep us full longer.Water will only push the nutrients through quickly and we need all we the nutrients we can get. Jus my input:) -
Truth. I was banded aug 15th ...was great 1st 2 weeks, now I've totally stalled. But I know my limits...I need to up my workouts & lay low on the carbs. Time to shake this booty into shape:))!!! Good luck!!!

Chest Tightness, Palpitations And Ignoramus Drs!
clarks4willie replied to elcee's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I too have had this happen in the past, 3 times I we t to the ER cause I was so scared. They chaulked it up as panic/ anxiety. And the meds they gave me worked. Attivan. Since being banded I'm getting palpitations more often..not sure if it's just a more stress cause I'm only 3 weeks post op and started a new job theis past week. It's so nerve wracking though. So I feel your pain. I hope it works out for you:)
