About Me

  • Gender
    Male
Being heavy my whole life was a challenge in all that I did. In my younger years it was easy to compensate...I played football and ice hockey...YES ice hockey and was really good at it. All County as a matter of fact! (It's hard to be confident and not self-deprecating so I am going to give it a shot here!) But years of abuse to my body has taken its toll. Being a paramedic almost 20 years the weight got harder and harder to manage and as it does with all of us, age has cuaght up to me...pain became a daily occurrence. Seven herniated discs later, change needed to happen, and happen soon. Now at the ripe age of 40 I have decided to do something about it. My surgery is set for tomorrow (May 14th) and I am excited and scared in the same breath. I am hoping that support from my family, friends, and people here who have gone through it, and are about to go through it will help.

On to the new chapter in my life!
